Forgive me if I'm posting this on the wrong board, but I'm not sure where else to ask this question. Sometimes when I click on a link on the website, I'm redirected to a google ad and I can't get it to go away. Can anyone help?
By "redirected to a Google ad", do you mean it acts as if you clicked an ad, and takes you to a website? Or is the entire page just a single Google ad with no other content?
Is the URL in your address bar still www.animalcrossingcommunity.com when this happens?
As far as I know, this hasn't been reported before. There is a possibility you may have Adware on your device, and if so, you may need to run a virus scan. If you've done that with no results, reply back and we'll try to figure it out.
(And if anyone else has had this happen, please chime in as well)

I just got a mobile device this week and looked at ACC for the first time yesterday using the google browser. Within a few minutes I was, like explained, redirected to a different site that was definitely adware or something of that nature. I hadn't clicked on anything on the page, it seemed to happen on it's own about 15 seconds after the page had loaded. I closed out of the ad and had to re-enter the google browser to get back to ACC. If it happens to me again I will get more information, it has definitely happened on my desktop before with sites other than ACC so I just figured using mobile is like that sometimes also with fake ads.
You know something? It's gotta be the ACC website. I'm perfectly fine with browsing other websites on my kindle fire, but glad to know I'm not the only one getting this problem and it didn't start until thanksgiving day. Hopefully it goes away.
