I went on a job interview today and it went very well. The interviewer told me I'd be perfect for the job and wasn't shy about telling me how she'd love for me to start immediately. However I feel like the interview was not what I wanted, she asked me questions about my current salary.. the last time this happened to me in an interview aka my current job I feel like I got screwed over for my salary. So this time, I told her a slightly higher number. (Nothing drastic like $2.00 more) She didn't say anything and at the end she told me they would need a copy of my pay stub in order to compensate me correctly and that I wouldn't lose money transitioning over to the new company. I literally have over a decade of experience in my position. I thought that's what companies based their pay rate on? However she never once told me what they would pay me. She didn't even try negotiating with me. Which I felt very odd.
Of course I'd never send my pay stub over to a job trying to hire me either way. But I've definitely never heard of this.. and when you google it most replies are stay away from a company that will do that.
Anyone else ever have this happen to them?

That would be a business to steer clear of. They don't need a paystub in order to hire you in the first place.
Calling your current work to prove that you are indeed employed there is what they should have done, and what most companies will do. Of course that would be the only information that they can get.
They probably want to pay you just as much as your current job or possibly a tiny bit more, most likely because they know you are worth more. Probably not a company you'd want to work for anyway. Good companies have no problem with paying people what they are worth.

Sorry, I don't accept random FCRs.
Yea I totally avoided the company. I didn't fill out any of the background paperwork and I received an email from the lady I interviewed with asking me where my paperwork was... I just told her I'm staying with my current place of employment. I want a change, but for the better.. you know?

I've been for interviews and gotten jobs and been for interviews and not gotten jobs but the reason I've always not got the jobs has been my availability Killer every time.

After many years, I have decided to return to ACC, and I even donated $10.
I'm new to PC gaming and still love to play on my 3DS.
I have trouble at job interviews apparently because nobody calls me back. Not even McDonald’s. Thankfully, I have a job, but I feel like the only reason they hired me was because of my dad working there, too.
I had one a couple of weeks ago, and it went better than I thought it would, still haven't heard anything back. Kind of disappointed, but life goes on. My very first interview was a train wreck. And the job I currently have now, well, I feel like it wasn't really an interview. I say that because it didn't *feel* like one.

I finally own a 3DS & my own copy of NL, WOOT!!!
I'm a teacher and I went to a job interview a few months ago. I was charming, I know that sounds big-headed but you know the feeling that everything is going smoothly and the interviewers were really into the interview.
When they phoned me up that evening, they told me I had been unsuccessful. I was alittle shocked, but tbh the school wasn't the right fit for me. The reason they didn't hire me will always stick with me though.
I'm "too nice".....I know! I didn't get the job because I was too nice! The behaviour of the class when I taught them was good, but still they thought I was too nice to be a teacher.

*Bear hugs Devin2600* To my friends on here
that have shown me so much love and kindness over the years, I thank you.
The only interviews I had where I didn't get the job afterwards was due to my availability and experience. Everything else has usually been good, I think.
I'm a pretty nervous interviewee, but I do a LOT of prep before one, so it usually helps.

I've only ever done 2 job interviews, and I'm kinda bad at it.
First of all, and possibly the biggest issue, I have problems with eye contact. I dont know what's wrong with me, but I do not make eye contact with alot of people, including my own family. During both interviews, I had to constantly remind myself that poeple find it weird if I don't make eye contact. The first interview was hard cause there were 2 people asking questions.
Secondly, and a very very close second issue, I have a major stuttering problem. Again, don't know what's wrong with me, but I stutter alot, more so when I'm nervous. And I'm a nervous person durin interviews. I'll slur words, speak too fast, switch and skip words and stutter. Again I had to remind myself to speak SLOWLY and with diction so people will understand me.
Along with those 2 things, I can't sit still. When I'm nervous I mess with things like a key on my lanyard, obbsesivly click a pen, crack my fingers and knuckles, move around, ect...
I hope I don't have to get better, I like my job now and would like to keep it
