What is your mist scariest Animal Crossing moment. Now they cant be made up like "one time the villigers had blood coming from their eyes and had an axe in their hand saying i am going to kill you". Make it something that actually happened. I am excited to see what stories you guys have!

I was messing around with a bit of time travel to try and get a piece of seasonal furniture. I'd gotten everything else in the series other than this one piece, but it was now out of season and so the shop had stopped stocking it. So I'd tt'd back to the start of the month and was slowly traveling forward one day at a time in the hopes that the shop would eventually have the item I wanted. I hadn't been doing any of my daily tasks during this time, speaking to villagers, digging fossils etc. I was literally loading up the game, checking the shop, save quit, tt forward and restart. But by about half way through my mail box was bursting with mail, so I decided to empty it.
And there is was.
Amongst the spam and rubbish was a little letter from Willow. My dreamy. My one and only dreamy. And it wasn't just any letter. Oh no. It was a moving letter.
I didn't quite believe it at first. I panicked. Checked the map. It couldn't be true. But there was no house there. I ran to were Willow lived but all that was left was a dirt mark from where her house use to stand. The terror and depression coursed through my body as I came to the bitter and horrendous reality that Willow was gone.
I physically wept that day.
And after everything, I still didn't get the piece of furniture I was after.

Mine was when I was playing on population growing and I was running and then I hear a door open and when I went down to see who it was, chow was just staring at the screen and I was literally about to scream. He was so scary! Luckily he moved out. And in new leaf, gruff is always at my house. He sits at the bench I put in front of my house. Everyone I load the game he is there. He then said that he has a nickname for me and ended up wanting to call me "sugar". It was really weird because can't female villagers only call you those type of names?

Not so much to do with my town or villagers, but the first time I played over wifi (10 years ago I think, I was maybe 10 or 11) I was so very nervous and read through a lot of threads here beforehand and many of them mentioned that notorious guy going around and bricking peoples games, essentially hacking into their towns layout and making the game unplayable. Thought it was old news and added this one guy who was also new, turns out it was the hacker himself. Panicked so hard and turned off my DS and internet. I remember it so vividly, my hands were shaking and the guy had a black shirt with white hair - "Zodiac has arrived". If my game was ruined I'd have never played AC online again.
when I was playing GC back when I was little, for some reason I decided to keep all my bells in my pockets and pay off my final loan all at once. it took me weeks (since I was only allowed to play on weekends back then) and I was less than 25k away from paying it off. then one of my villagers decided to play a game, where if I lost I had to give them all the money I had on me. luckily I won but that was very scary.

And also messing around with action replay that i thought i stole from a friend. He was like "I didn't say it at the time, but the AR was another birthday gift from me" THat wasn't the scary part. I had a cheat where EVERY FREE SPACE (other than trees) was replaced by bells. i had to plant new flowers and stuff. I was one terrified 8 year old. I was outside when i booted up the game, and i sreamed bloody murder. I can't remember if the cops were called. I lived in a nice neighborhood so i was left home alone, outside.

One time the GameCube popped open while the game was on and I could only stare in heart-stopping horror as the disc continued to spin and spin and spin....(the game was fine, but I made sure to close the hatch verrrrrrry carefully).
A boy's mother baked cupcakes for his birthday. He went away to live
with animals. The cupcakes went stale, but she writes to him every day.
In the days of City Folk and thriving giveaways on this site I frequently WiFi-d with hackers, and they made life fun! We would have maze fights with trees and axes and I got so much cool stuff that I didn’t think about it.
But one day I went into Abel Sisters and I literally shrieked, because sat there was that Dimentio Msk HDLC that you could only get through hacking, a variation of the jester’s mask. I didn’t know what it was and if that somehow meant my game was in jeopardy or what, so I messaged my very good friend and all knowledgeable hacker in a PT that was probably over dramatic nonesense. He assured me it was fine and as my game was technically infected now it didn’t matter what I did with it.
It freaked me out for a while, but after I learnt more what it was I was just more careful of who I linked up with, and also strangely less paranoid about my town.
