Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who is a member of ACC for being part our community and for continuing to use us as your one-stop Animal Crossing website, whether it be for the Wi-Fi lobby, Game Guides, Giveaway Services, Forum games or just a place to chat with friends about our common interest: Animal Crossing. Can you believe it's been 15 years already? ACC has been with us for the release of every Animal Crossing game (besides Population Growing of course) and has brought people from all over the world together and we couldn't have done it without you all.
Secondly, I would like to personally thank every member who has been part of ACC's Staff or SPT for volunteering your time and dedication to make ACC the place it is today! Whether you be on Staff right now or you have served us in the past, I appreciate you all and thank you. A special thank you to Jader201 for making this a possibility for us all.
*Please use this thread to share some of your favorite ACC experiences and memories. When did you join? What has been your favorite part of being on ACC? Which boards do you use most often? We would love to know!
Below is a list of all current staff members and the dates they joined ACC:
I joined ACC almost solely because of my brother, DaBraxMan. I remember before I joined the site how into this place he was. I'm not a huge Animal Crosser (except with friends), but I've played all four games and like all of them. I fit the bill for a new member, so I remember waking up on my 13th birthday and waiting for Ethan to get up. When he did, I was like "Hey, Ethan, can you help me join ACC?" I don't know who was more excited. Maybe me, but it could've been him. He'd wanted me on the site for so long. But there was COPPA. Now my best friends in the world are people I got to know better through this site! I was introduced to some members (shnuffeluv, Cariicarky, duggins, etc.) before I joined, but I got to know them better when I got here. I'm glad I'm a part of ACC.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen.
One of the most memorable parts of ACC for me (besides being on staff) was the giveaway Cloud 9. I’m not sure if many of you remember her but xsmilez was the owner. After I joined it felt like one huge family. I was there until the bitter end until she decided to close it down as the two of us had been staffed, and didn’t have the time to run it. What I love is that the two of us still talk today, and have remained friends over all these years despite her not being on ACC anymore. To any Cloud 9 alumni out there, shout out to you!

^ Because they copied my signature! And they threw cake at me! :(
I've been a part of ACC for all but the first 15 months of ACC's existence ^^ I joined thanks to the N64 AC (think I still have a memory card with a town saved on it somewhere but sadly no GC or ACGC game).

Maybe this would be the perfect thread to post in! I've been on ACC since 2009 and I was in a giveaway but I can't remember the name of it! All I have to remember is my FC ratings that say ACS. Does anyone have any idea what it might've been?
I think a pretty widely remembered/experienced bit of ACC history is that one infamous April Fools day where the site got hacked I think it was 2011 or 2012? One of my only regrets is that that was one of the only days back then that I didn't log in, so I missed the whole thing
I also remember sometime in early 2011 I joined up to work with a giveaway called Tutti Frutti, which I believe I only joined because of my name... I got sacked after a few weeks for not doing enough work But yeah this site was a big part of my childhood/teen years and I love it a lot! Loads of memories...
ingo wake up you Fudged up big time
I joined acc in 2013 because i was looking online for some animal crossing games guide website then i came across acc and i decieded to join up. I have memories of this site being really active in my first few months of being a member. i remeber being in loads of active bts. and all the way through school i was always really exicted to talk to my friends on acc. Unfortunately most of those friends are no longer active.
"Before my time, I think, but that sounds hilarious. Did everyone realise it had been hacked, or did it just seem like one of the usual pranks? Either way it sounds like it would've been fun to watch. "
People didn't realise that it had been hacked because the AFD prank that year involved the site being infected with a virus, so the hack just seemed like part of the festivities at first. If I remember correctly, what happened was that the hacker destaffed everyone except for then-Scout Titandwedebil, whom he made an admin on the basis of his belief that, essentially, Titan was the only staff member who wasn't part of the corrupt ruling class or whatever. Titan then helped restore control of the site to Jader and everything was returned to normal.
Anyone who remembers better can feel free to correct anything I got wrong. Speaking of Titan, DREAD was among the most fun experiences of my life, and many of my closest friendships were cemented through it.
Gosh, 15 years old already for ACC? Where has the time gone? I still remember going on the service board for WW and CF....and seeing all those giveaways! Had to pick and choose one and it was PSG! How things have changed with each game arrival.

Some of my best memories were when I had just joined ACC which was in 2014. The site was a lot more active then it is now so I saw lots of new posts on the trading board everyday. I'd wake up early in the morning and tons of people would be online (it's kind of rare to see people online in the mornings now). I miss going to club tortimer to grind for badges with old friends! Also HOG cycling and old giveaway threads that are now closed.
I loved (still love!) the kindness of the community since I had never gone on forums before. Getting my dream villagers and rare items for the first time was awesome.
..I haven't heard that name in years.
I joined ACC back in 2007, on my birthday. It was my very first forum. It’s always going to hold a special place in my heart. My biggest regret is not trying harder to stay in touch with friends I made here. I’m so curious how everyone has gotten along.
Computers care for the environment, they have recycling bins!
What if you say "Hi," to your friend on an airplane who's name is Jack?
I joined over six years ago. My first game was Animal Crossing: Population Growing. It was fun coming home from school each day to interact with the villagers. This is pretty embarrassing, but I considered the villagers on this game to be my real friends because of how much I was bullied throughout school. Animal Crossing became my favorite series because of how it helped me cope with everything.
I have been very active on this site with an exception of a break a took a few years ago. Despite not having WiFi for the longest time, I still found myself browsing the Off Topic boards quite frequently! I also met my best friend hpotter_hockey on this site. I'm seriously very happy I met her, she's amazing. :)
I also enjoy spamming the Forum Games board. Literally, I could respond to the entire first page of games. I could probably do the same to Off Topic. Unfortunately, there aren't as many threads as there were back when I first joined. I miss when the Off Topic board was flooded with interesting topics. Forum sites will never be what they used to, but I'm happy to be a member of this wonderful community.

Thanks everyone for sharing! I guess I'll share what I have to say now!
So in two months it will 13 years that I've been on ACC, and I couldn't be happier. I love ACC and everything it's given me, I'm so proud to call myself a staff member. I was 12 when I joined and I will be 25 on ACC's Birthday, so I guess I can say I've grown up with ACC. It's been with me through every major part of my life.
I've met some people on here who are a huge part of my life and I'm thankful every day for them! I love all my buddies and I consider them all friends of mine but there are some people who I would even consider my best friends. Yoshistory, llpandorall, Devin2600, KaterCeasie & Dimentio95 mean the world to me and I don't know how my ACC experience would be without them, they've helped me when I really needed it and have always been there. They are selfless and I'm just happy that we share the common interest of Animal Crossing or we would have never met. I really hope that someday I can meet them in real life and we can expand our friendship.

Animal Crossing Shoppe. It was owned by cityfolk2009 and then bottledfame (and/or pinkist) eventually took over.
"I also remember sometime in early 2011 I joined up to work with a giveaway called Tutti Frutti, which I believe I only joined because of my name..."
Aw TF was great. This was Com103's giveaway.
I joined in 2006 because I found my dad's DS hiding under his bed, and found out about AC and then ACC because he had an account. I fell in love with it, and giveaways and everything. I was 10. And here we are, years later and I'm 22, so like many others, I grew up with ACC in my life in one way, shape or form.
The giveaways always stick with me honestly. I remember so many of them.. JUG (johntown327), Dalek's Giveaway (Dalek), PSG (panicgoldiemint, and then joeybabe/sfulfer), MFG (asutown), Fancy That (cherriees), ACME (i honestly can't remember who for this one, I want to say Aldericon but idk. I know it was a bunch of JUG employees).. And I'm sure that's only the beginning.
I've met some of my closest friends here. Ones I know on a personal basis, and ones that have made my ACC life what it was/is. People probably don't think about me anymore, but there's certain people that i'll never forget about, even though I was just a silly 10 year old kid.
The April fools day (not) prank was quite interesting for sure. Remember seeing it, and yeah. Glad it wasn't fatal.
Thanks for all the memories, ACC. Here's to many more.
We don't need no bankroll make us feel alive
We don't need no benzo to feel like we can ride
but for real, I have met a lot of friends that I talk to on a daily basis from ACC! no other site has given me such lasting friendships.
the old days are definitely a big one for me, too. I miss how many people used to be on! I loved staying up late and playing City Folk with a bunch of other night owl users. Those days and that game are so nostalgic, but sadly most people those days (as ACC was quite a bit more popular WW/CF/NL release era) were come and go.
im hopeful that ACC will be revitalized with the release of a game for the Switch. Not that it is dead, but it always seemed so lively back in the day!
My activity on here has waxed and waned, especially through the City Folk days. I basically grew up here. I remember my mom allowing little pre-teen me get on here just to look at all the patterns. I would sit in front of the computer and try to copy them.
I didn't join for many years, as my parents were very strict but when I could I would come and read what everyone was talking about. Even though I couldn't use the site, it was still the first time I ever felt part of a community.
Lol, I also remember skimming through the grown up gaming section and wondering if one day I would ever post in there, or if I would still love Animal Crossing. Needless to say, I'm still here.

This site was a HUGE part of my childhood/growing up. I joined when I was 8 years old (I'm now 20). I used to come home everyday from school and pop in AC:GC. This was before WW was even out! I would go online strictly for ACC, and Neopets lol. I loved the patterns and town tunes at this point on ACC.
I still have all of my old dairies, which are very entertaining to sift through.
When WW came out, this website exploded. I loved Wifi-ying with everyone. There used to be "hackers" that would brick towns. 10 year old me had my WW town bricked on here. I remember my town gate was completely missing. I even bought a gameshark to fix it, but to no avail.
CF was a new era, and I have such fond memories (this was when I was 11 years old to 13). I was involved in multiple giveaways. I had a whole calendar to make sure I was home to do the deliveries. I made so many friends, and had so many people to hang out with in-game.
New Leaf came out, and that's when I noticed the site start to decline in popularity (partly thanks to Reddit and TBT).
Overall, this site has remained much unchanged, and it's a nostalgic place that I always come home to. ACC is home.
We came here to burgle your turts!
I joined ACC in June of 2006, back when AC:WW was still pretty fresh and ACC was booming with many new members every day. Some of my earliest memories were WiFi-ing with so many people over that summer and working as a GC Distributor at Dalek's Giveaway. Yeah, believe it or not, I was involved with giveaways at one point too. I also worked at many other giveaways during my giveaway stint. The other notable ones that I remember working at were klx125's Endless Giveaway (KEG) and a PanicGoldieMint's Spectacular Giveaway (PSG). I am pretty sure I was a quiz aide at each, and I think I even became the guy that ran and created the promotions at PSG for awhile before I moved on from giveaways in 2010. There was also that Restoring Animal Crossing Community (RACC) organization that I was a part of. Anybody remember that? It was started by members that were frustrated with the amount of junk and lack of quality of topics on the Off Topic board. Our goal was to improve the overall quality of the Off Topic board by posting a bunch of quality discussion threads.
I was even involved with the fan-fiction community for awhile, and I remember running (what I thought was) a popular fan-fic that lasted about 3 years straight (2007-2010) with a chapter almost every week. I also remember there being a ton of hype leading up to the release of AC:CF and when the game finally came out, the site exploded again in activity around the holidays that year. I had that journal thread where I'd chronicle and discuss my week-by-week adventures in AC:CF, and surprisingly managed to keep that going for 231 weeks. I lasted almost to the release of New Leaf in 2013, thanks to the support of so many readers. I also remember the Ultimate Villager Hit & Give, and how big of a deal that was to people, myself included. I actually just checked and am super glad to see that is still running on the Forum Games board after all these years.
Those are all just memories from before I joined the Staff as a Scout in spring of 2011. Just a few months after I became a Scout, the R&Ds were created, and Project Reboot was a huge deal and helped breathe some new life into the site. I still remember when that first update went live. A lot of people were getting impatient with the pace the original R&Ds were working, so when that first update went live, it seemed like the whole site was jumping for joy. Then New Leaf released in the summer of 2013. The site had a short burst of activity for a few months, and it was kind of a slap in the face for me as a Mod. My first year of working as Mod, in 2012, was pretty tame, so the activity increase in 2013 put a lot of us newer Mods through our paces. I definitely remember my patience being tested during that time period. After the initial New Leaf wave, it seems like the site has been slowly decreasing in activity. As someone who has been here for huge booms of activity, and slow periods as well, I have to say I actually enjoy when things are quieter. It gives the feeling of a smaller, more tight-knit community. It reminds me of a small country town where everybody knows everybody, and I kind of like that.
Last thing I'd like to mention is that my favorite site feature has always been the Trading Post. It's such an innovative tool, even 15 years later. I always found GC trades so much fun because of the Trading Post, and still use it to this day even though GC players are few and far between now.
Crossing animals since 2003.
Good grief, teenage me was way more explosive. Good thing I mellowed out over the past 8 years. I'll be honest with you all, 8 years is my unbeaten record of how long I've stayed on a forum. A lot of other places, I never stayed beyond 3 years due to so many needless changes and other stuff. I have stayed on another forum for over 7 years, and I'm still there. I've also been on YouTube for over 8 years, joining one month after joining here. I finally got lucky around then, which is quite frankly, great.
I remember a lot of things. Strange discussions, talking about experiences in our games, being able to join get-togethers (my house doesn't need a firewall that is the definition of overkill. I can still go online, just can't play online), and everything and anything. Hard to name them all.
I was there when the Bells system was put into place. I didn't like how far behind I was at first, but being at Ranking 26 with my Bell total is nothing to be sneezed at. It's a lot more chaotic further down the line, but up here, it's a lot quieter.
When I hit 18 in 2013, I was unsure about the Grownup Gamers boards, since I didn't feel like one. I still don't a fair amount of the time, but I feel more mature now compared to then. I've kind of been somewhat forced to grow up recently, but it was overdue anyway. Flagging them was quite frankly a good move on my part.
I liked the explosion of activity when New Leaf came out. And again when Welcome Amiibo was in place, even though there weren't as much. It'll be great to see this site be more active in the near future.
What I like about this place is the site design isn't broken, and therefore doesn't need fixing. It's great just the way it is. It does what it needs to do without causing needless hassle and well, if anyone needs material on a class for good site design, I'd lead them to here as my first choice. The colour scheme is easy on the eyes, so we can browse without needing to get off to nurse any headaches, we can insert emotes without having to remember codes, using markup is a breeze and well, it is what it says on the tin, both message posting and the site itself.
This place is quite frankly one of the nicest places on the Net. I do not want to see that being taken away whatsoever.
I joined the site after my sister found it and joined when she first bought herself a copy of Wild World. I ended up using it all the way through my high school life and only really stopped when the site got quieter and quite a few of my friends on here left or were banned/suspended. I used to play games with people on here daily, worked for some deliveries sometimes, and participated in numerous threads. I posted on almost all the boards and tried to participate in as many threads as I possibly could.
Oh, and earned myself far too many notifications for spam in the process (though not all of them were intentional).
It's been quite a long and fun journey. I've had a lot of good experiences on this site. I hope it does reach a boom again and gets more activity as I miss using it to the extent that I used to.
After many years, I have decided to return to ACC, and I even donated $10.
I'm new to PC gaming and still love to play on my 3DS.
I was lurking looking on here sience CF but never joined So when I got NL (Fed this year) So when I re-started my town I kept coming here and the *WANT TO JOIN* looked cool :-/ Just wish that had happed sooner everthing is sooooo much easier here and fun Trust me I'v been to some AC unmentionablequestionable websites forums fun games, AC, ACNL & class were the last thing on there mind when they made those pages
