Yes, this would be the biggest reason. Even the New Leaf boards are dying down as it’s been so long since it came out

to be honest, this site is pretty inactive on all sides these days. if it were a bit more busy then i'm sure you'd see at least a couple more regular posts in city folk, though likely not as many as new leaf since it's older and the wifi connectivity has died out.
