so im starting to play my new town, and I am actually trying to get pics for various villagers, ive never got any normal villagers b4, just the resetti bros,

does sending letters to villagers help, and if so what do I need to send them?
items?
specific messages?
random letters???

idk, I generally just send them a basic hello with no items, but since its only been 2 days, I have no clue if im helping or what

Sending letters makes them happy, and it will also earn you badges. I usually send fruit or paper, unless they've put something up for sale at Re-Tail that I want them to keep.
