Honestly asking. I traded it in a while ago and heard there was an update (super slow to hearing about things )

How's the update? Is it really worth rebuying? Or is it pretty similar to how it was like 2 years ago?

The update is pretty amazing, considering the game is several years old and it is completely free [as opposed to being DLC]. It's gotten me to fire up my game again.

There are daily/weekly "missions" which give you coupons to buy new furniture items. Also you have a better handle of keeping villagers off spots you don't want them to plop a house on by dropping patterns there (a house will never appear dropped patterns).

If I didn't have ACNL, I'm not sure if I would re-buy it unless I had a lot of free time or have several friends also back into playing it. It's nothing crazy new in the update (mostly just new furniture) but it is enough new stuff to give more things to collect/back into playing. But I don't have to re-buy it, so there is that too. :3
