Outline: The theme for April Fools' Day 2017 was to donate to Boondox. For this we needed a Home Page banner and also clickable banners on every page. The banner can be seen in the second post.
Clicking on the banner led to a donation page with a running total of the Bells donated so far, and the following backstory.
Turmoil has engulfed the region. The taxation of trade routes to outlying villages is in dispute.
Hoping to resolve the matter with a blockade of deadly goons, the greedy Nook Federation has stopped all shipping to the small village of Boondox.
While the Staff of ACC endlessly debates this alarming chain of events, jader201 has secretly dispatched two Moderators, the guardians of peace and justice, to settle the conflict.
hoggle, a former Administrator of ACC, is returning to vote on the critical issue of funding a HUMANITARIAN EFFORT to assist the overwhelmed residents of Boondox.
In a stunning move, the fiendish gyroid leader, Lloid, has swept into the ACC Modmin boards and kidnapped iolite, leader of the ACC Staff.
As the Gyroid Army attempts to flee the besieged boards with their valuable hostage, a ragtag team of Scouts, Developers and Researchers leads a desperate mission to rescue the captive iolite.
Fantastic tales of bravery and despair aside, Boondox needs your help. Channel the selfless group of Scouts, Researchers, and Developers and save the captive residents from the merciless clutches of dilapidation. Act now to be the beacon of hope for those for whom the light guiding them to the future has faded. Every little bit counts and will brighten the day of the residents of Boondox. Your contribution will be used to its fullest in restoring this once peaceful and prosperous village to its glory days.
How your donations can help: 100 bell = 1 snack 1,000 bells = a dinner for a family of 4 10,000 bells = lunches for all of the students at school for a day 100,000 bells = enough to run the homeless shelter for a day 1,000,000 bells = enough to provide running water, heat, and electricity to one resident
