My younger sister's town was deleted when she switched 3DSs this morning. I think that she might have accidentally removed the cartridge in the middle of saving, corrupting the data and forcing it to wipe the memory. This is the first time something like this has happened, so it could also be some sort of glitch. In any case, she's lost a year or so of progress in her game (and she plays the most out of all of us, considering she's only eight years old).

If you folks out there have any suggestions to get her back on track, that would be lovely.

Oh no, that sucks so bad!

If she has a FC, there are probably people from ACC who might want to come and give her a hand (Bells, flowers, etc.). You could try asking around.

Ok, this happened to me when my DS broke and I had to get a new one.

You should get her to update both her DS and the animal crossing game, because her previous town may have been on the welcome amiibo update, and the new DS may not have this. So update them both, and see if that makes any difference.

If it doesn't work, I'd be happy to help her and get her some stuff.
