Has anyone else heard, seen, or gotten into this game?

I got into it after discovering it, though it took a while because the first print run sold out completely. I had to order the reprint. Well, the cards finally came, and I got some pretty awesome stuff to be able to make a decent deck.

It's a fairly simple game: you play cards representing Final Fantasy characters, and attempt to deal your opponent 7 points of damage. You play Forwards (characters you attack with), Backups (resource producers, some with other effects), and Summons (one-use cards). It has a fair bit of strategy to it, easy to grasp but surprisingly deep for the current simplicity of the game.

I'm working on building a Fire/Water deck so I can concentrate on both attack and resource advantage. I figure to get cheap Forwards out to be my initial wave, then build up until my big guns can come out.

I also managed to get lucky with some of my packs: one of them had the ultra-rare version of Sephiroth, which is currently fetching the biggest prices. Though it's not because it's a viable card (It's really kind of costly and not easy to use). Just that it's Sephiroth.

I've heard about the it on a podcast I follow (Shut Up & Sit Down podcast #50).

I collect Pokémon and other misc cards, so after it's impossible to find, I might be inclined to buy a pack of cards if it was right in front of me for to put in a binder or something but I don't see myself actually playing the game.

My latest games, I managed to come up with a deck that the local pros are impressed with.

It's a Water/Lightning element deck whose strategy is to take lumps early, but build up using Tidus and his Blitz Ace ability. Normally, forwards get only one attack per turn. Blitz Ace however breaks this rule: for every point of damage you've suffered, he gets an additional attack. The idea is to deal a couple points of damage early, then sit back and take some hits while I build up to clearing out my opponent's forwards and then activating Blitz Ace so that I can attack unopposed and win in one fell swoop.

The local guys had been interested in Blitz Ace but hadn't figured out how to exploit it. I gave them the answer, and after the game wrote down what's in my deck. They're now trying to figure out how to best optimize it.
