Has anyone been in foster care? What about being a foster parent?

I have always wanted to either adopt or be a foster parent. I recently started working in a public school and I have had experiences with students who really compel me to be a foster parent and remind me how important they are. I am only 21 and getting married in June, so I hope it is a process that isn't too far away for me.
