I might be one of the older gamers on this forum at 57.  I started with AC on my sons Game Cube when it first came out. When the Wii came out I camped out at Walmart with my son to be sure he got one on launch day and ended up getting one as well. I didn't care for the new AC on the Wii and the same can be said for the Wii U. My kid now with a collage education and his own home convinced me to try ACNL on a 3DS and I've been hooked on it for almost a year.

I'm looking for some adult ACNL friends. I have an extra 3DS that I might set up a second town on and leave it open 24/7 kind of like a little server.

Welcome to the boards! I am 36 and can't believe that I'm still playing this franchise 13 years later. I hope that I'm still playing it years to come and I never feel excluded from the community as I get older. I don't have any kids, but I often play my 3DS on planes and feel like I get weird looks.

Btw, I also camped out for the Wii when it came out and also did not like City Folk. But I love ACNL.

I was just thinking about  camping out for the Wii lol  I was lucky my cousin work for Game crazy at the time and they got a shipment for it the night before they were allowed to start selling it so he gave me it and rips  the back part off with the scanner  code lol  so then I played it the night before it was released super cool I do miss the  microphone part of it  I don't know why they don't  use  the microphone feature in the 3ds so we can talk to each other

I'm a chronologically gifted person and I've been playing Animal Crossing since the Wild World days.

I just downloaded the recent upgrade to the game and I can't wait to play again.

Late 40s. Been playing since just after we bought the GC game for my stepdaughter, the first week of release in Canada. Addicted! Played all the versions. Prefer the handhelds. No intention of buying a new system for another new AC though. However, I said that about the 3DS, and I've now logged countless hours! Hello to you all!

I will be 57 very soon. I also started on the gamecube. I still play the cube...and have 6 towns. I also have a wii and a town called The Cove with perfect grass through TT. Its alot of work. So I dont play that one very much. I have a New Leaf town called RokBotom. It was a birthday present last year.

I am a avid gamer...co-op off line player. I play hard core shooters mostly ..like Gears of War..Borderlands..Left 4 Dead... GTA..and Saints Row.
Not stopping any time soon.

Ironically..I play a version of AC everyday and have for well over a decade. Its a favorite and feels like home.

Haha, well, so far I'm the oldest on this thread at 67! The amiibo update has revived my interest, as I haven't played in a couple of years.

55 F grownup gamer coming back to ACNL after 3 years!  My town has too much stuff, too many flowers, I might just do a giveaway to clear things out, otherwise I can see the secret storage filling up before I can buy anything new lol!

Great to see many grownup gamers active here again.  I think I'm gonna need to visit a few towns to see what I've missed out on these past 3 years.

I'm 43 and just recently started playing ACNL again.When i'm not playing ACNL i'm playing on my PS4.I've also played animal crossing on the gamecube and acww and animal crosing city folks.

I am 43 too. Started playing ACWW on the DS and in the end I got another DS and game so I could play with my daughter. After that I tried the Gamecube one and Wii one but I never liked it. Too big and not as much fun. With a handheld you can play anywhere without noticing your surroundings whilst with the TV version it all seems so far a way. Then we got a 3DS and 2 copies of ACNL. But I stopped playing after a while. For a very long time. My kids got me the very cute Animal Crossing New 3DS with happy home academy for Christmas last year so now ACNL seems to take up all my free time again.

44 and proud! Lol. So glad this game appeals to so many! Not many games cross the ages like this does.

I've been playing acnl since release (restarted my two towns more times than I can count!) as well as accf.

I guess I'm 2nd place with MrsFlamingo being 1st, I'm 60 & have been playing video games since 1992. I play, my kids play & now my grandkids play. What fun.

I am 61 and have just downloaded the new update. I have not played in a while so I am enjoying getting back into the game.

I'm 54. Animal Crossing on the Game Cube was the best game and started me into other games. This and the Elder Scrolls series, along with Stardew Valley, are my favorites.

My daughter used to moderate this forum and I have a long affiliation with it.
