I follow the English Premier League and support Tottenham Hotspur. I chose them because when I was 12, I got into the Beautiful Game due to the World Cup in the United States, and that fall, I took a trip to the UK and wanted to see a match. My parents got tickets to see Spurs, and it was one of the greatest sport experiences I ever saw. Just to give an idea of how long ago this was: I saw Jurgen Klinsmann, the current manager of the US Men's National Team, playing for Spurs as their striker. He scored a goal in the match I went to.
Other clubs/teams I follow are Atletico Madrid in La Liga (due to my Uncle Frank, whose father played for them), Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga, Cruz Azul in Liga MX, the Philadelphia Union, and the US Men's National Team.

COME ON, YOU SPURS!
I am an avid Seattle Sounders fan!!! (I haven't fully watched yesterday's game yet, so no spoilers, please!)
I played soccer from 3rd grade into college. I didn't learn about the World Cup until it was played in the US in '94 and begged for tickets to see the Women's World Cup when it came in '96. I did go to see the Women's World Cup in '03 when it was moved here from China because of SARS. I'm also just about 4 hours from Vancouver, BC where the US Women won the Cup in Canada and wanted to go to the final game there sooo bad!!!
I also like the Hotspurs cause they got Deandre Yedlin when he left the Sounders. He was amazing!! He's now at Newcastle, I guess, but the Hotspurs really lost out cause they didn't play him that much...
How do you think the Men's National Team will do now that Bruce Arena's back at the helm? They have a couple of must-win games coming up with Honduras on Friday and Panama Tuesday. Let's hope they do better than they have been doing, otherwise there's no World Cup in our future...
I am a leaf in the wind...
