So I accepted a trade from someone but it turns out they needed the item for a different game.  Is there a way to cancel that trade or should we go ahead and "complete" the trade, with my putting in the code and them accepting it, etc.?

Boy, it's been awhile since I used the trading post, but there *should* be an option to cancel the trade. I believe it must be done on the part of the person who initiated the trade in the first place. I'll do some digging and see what I can find for sure. I do know, however, that incomplete trades will eventually expire, so that is another option if you'd rather not go through the hassle of completing the trade. Hope that helps!

Update! I ran a trade test through the Trading Post, and it *is* possible to cancel a trade. It must be done by the member who first requested the trade.

Simply click on the "My Trades" link under the My ACC menu to the left of the screen. Then click on the Trade# of the one you wish to cancel and it will bring up the info page. If you scroll down to the message box, there should be a button to Cancel Trade.

Posting here again... my pending trade alert is still up despite the fact the trade is gone (expired or canceled, not sure which).  Would someone be able to clear that for me, pretty please?

Yeah, there's a bug with the pending trade alert staying around even once the trade has been finished with.

I believe I've cleared the alert for you. Let me know if it worked.
