I've had mine for a couple weeks now and have a couple scratches. I really need a case or bag, but don't want something that has Nintendo things on them. I would love to find some kind of pouch or hand-purse like thing to use. I want something cheap!! Any ideas on things people have used? I keep thinking of hand purses I saw at Target and also like cosmetic bags. I would prefer a bag or pouch, but is a hard plastic clip case also a good idea? Please let me know if you have ideas, experience, seen otbers, etc.

My friend has a hard plastic clip case on his 3DS XL, and he says it's working well. I, however, have not tried it so I do not know.

What I've been using for my 3DS XL is just the styrofoam protector thingy that it came with (I believe it comes with all 3DS XL's), and I don't have a single scratch on it. I'm too scared to get a case because I feel like the case will scratch it!

I've had my 3DS XL for over a year now. In the beginning I had a Nerf blue styrofoam thingy on it, for about 8 months. Never took it off. Thought my 3DS would be in perfect condition! Turns out the styrofoam case left markings on the paint job. I was so annoyed. So I switched over to the Animal Crossing Case pouch thingy, where you can store your games and stylus pens. Did that for about 4 months. Then Switched over to a Hatsune hard cover case which is plastic and then I also carry it in a Hatsune snap little purse. Works awesome, if I ever drop the purse/pouch the 3DS is still protected by the hard plastic case.

My Hubby has a hard clear plastic case on his, looks brand new and the paint job on his 3DS still looks amazing! He has the Pokemon X edition one. So it's red and has some graphics on it!

I use a cloth pouch that I got from Club Nintendo, my 3DS has very few scratches on it if any. I can't seem to find any on the internet though, only hard pouches which should also work fine.

Used to use the Club Nintendo pouch, now I use the pouch that came with the Fire Emblem Fates SE. Both of them have worked wonderfully in preventing scratches.
