I'm personally rooting for a Capitals win tomorrow. They got it.

Well, I'm sure hoping for a Caps win too. A little payback for the playoffs.

How can a team start off so good and then blow it?

Yes, the first game went to a shootout, but it's like the Caps didn't learn one thing taking on the Penguins last season.

The Jackets went right into their normal form, starting the game well but eventually giving up 6 goals.

I'm not surprised at this point.

Yeah, that whole OT period of Caps vs Pens reminded me so much of last year's playoffs it was scary. Caps had so many chances, but couldn't put it away and blew it in the end. Gotta say, Holtby wasn't looking too hot either. Don't like that.

TIED FOR 2ND IN THE METRO WITH THE DUMB RAGS GET SOME

Devils were off to a bad start, but things are starting to look up. Our scoring is starting to open up and Cory is still a brick wall. We're currently 4-2-2. I'm pretty sure we had a lead in like 7 of those games too, so our biggest problem seems to be holding on. Especially in the third period. We let in a tying goal during a double minor with 2 minutes left on Friday and lost in OT. And about a week ago we let in a GWG with like 40 seconds left in the 3rd. Stuff like that needs to get cleaned up, then we're set.

Anyway, it's looking better than last year.

I just want someone to bring down the Pens. Every time I see them win a game, I get a little more ticked. What can I say, I don't even want them to hit the playoffs this season.

After last night's Caps game, I think they should hitch their wagon to Grubauer. Yeah, he got scored on last night, but 2 goals is a far cry from the 4 that Holtby allowed in his last game. All I have to say is Holtby better get his head out of wherever he has it and get back to being a solid goalie. I know he's got the stuff, but that Rangers game made him look like a rookie.

Still, I'm mighty pleased with their performance in the Vancouver game. Now, they just need to carry that over against the Flames.

Braden Holtby was my goalie on NHL 17 on my franchise mode, and he really is bad on there. I traded him for Gibson, who isn't much better.

The Kings have yet to win in regulation. That need to play better, especially since Quick is out.

I's really upsetting. Other than Cory, Holtby is my favorite goalie in the league. But yeah, he hasn't looked hot at all. I dunno if it was cuz the spanking he got in last year's playoffs or maybe sitting for the World Cup that got into his head. But the Caps are pretty much the same team from last year. I figured they'd be seeing similar success, but so far nothing.  

Even though I didn't see it, looks like they had a bit of their groove last night against the Flames. Holtby stopped all but 1, so maybe he's finally getting into it. And maybe the line changes will work out that the Caps have made.

But yeah, they are looking like the same team, which worries me. The Pens and the Rangers like to play with speed, and that seems to be the Caps' weakness.

Holtby is rated number one in top ten goalies. Price was number two.

Well, here's hoping they all are number one on Tuesday. That was embarrassing, that Hurricanes game.

Embarrassing like that Canadiens 10-0 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Now that I think about it, 5-1 isn't that bad. I didn't think it was possible to score 10 times in a game, except in the NHL game series.

What a game last night! Too bad I didn't get the chance to see it. I could have had it taped for me, but if I had, the Caps probably would have lost.

So, what happened last night with that one Penguin, the one who got a 10 minute penalty? I mean I haven't seen one like that before, so I just wondered what he did to get in that deep of trouble.

I haven't seen a penalty that long! I just heard about it somewhere. I wonder what happened.

That Patrik Laine own goal was hilarious. I guess he forgot which side of the ice he was on considering he raised his stick for a celebration.

That one is hard to live down.

Well, I'm pleased with how the Caps have working these last few games. I'd like to say I hope it'll last, but I don't want to jinx them either.

god, the Devils started off so good. Then we went out west and got destroyed by the Cali teams. Now we can't win anything. We just lost to the Blues (4-1), Habs (5-2), and Rangers (5-0,(killme)). Before the year ends, we still have to play Blues (again), Sens, Rangers (killmeX2), Preds, Flyers, Pens (twice), and Caps (twice). Honestly, I'll be shocked if we end up getting five points between those games. Rangers, Flyers, Pens, and Caps are all definite losses. Might be able to squeeze a win from the BLues, Sens, and Preds, but I doubt it based off how we played the last few games. Our offense only shows up occasionally. Our defense is clearly missing a key piece. And Cory... man, Cory hasn't been good. In the past thirteen games we've let up 50 goals. One of those games he only let up two goals. Two of those games three got passed him. The other ten were 4+ in our net. It's just... bad...

Oh, and of course the Rags are still on top of the Metro and the Flyers are about to win 10 straight (Well, they still have two periods to play in Colorado, but I have no faith in the Avs). Great.

Well, I went to the Kings at Penguins on Friday. It was a good game, and so fun to see the Penguins lose.

That Penguins at Blue Jackets game made my night. :)

Same here, though I wish the Capitals at Flyers could have made mine.

Same. I'm glad I went to it. That's the 2nd Blue Jackets hat trick I've seen in person and the 2nd most exciting Jackets game I've been to, right behind game 4.

And now we're at 11 straight! I'm going to the game again tonight. I don't know how our minimal roster changes made such a huge difference but I'll take it. Our potential this year is amazing. I don't trust the NHL playoff odds thing but they say we have a 50% chance of winning the President's Trophy and a 20% chance of winning the cup.

Totally jealous of how many hockey games Yankees gets to attend. :( I'm just happy the Habs lost personally. It is a great season for the Blue Jackets so far.

I've only been to 3 NHL games this year and I'll probably go to about 5 total. I'm only in Columbus for 2 weeks during the season so I'm going to go every chance I get.

Unless you count college games too in which case it is much more.

It feels great. We've been terrible for almost 16 years and we've had 1 average year and 1 slightly above average year mixed in. Somehow we went from bad to amazing in a year. I don't know what happened but it's amazing. We can average a point a game for the rest of the year (league average is around 1.15) and be at 100 points and a 98% chance of making the playoffs.
