I called my town LeahTown, because... my name is Leah and I'm the mayor of my town.

My friend's town (which used to be my second town before I gave my friend my second 3DS and New Leaf cartridge) was initially going to be called Riverdale, after the TV series - my friend really likes it - but it went past the 8 character limit, so we called it Lakedale instead.

Feline_Frenzy naming your town after one of the potentially habitable planets is a really, really cool idea. I wish I'd thought of that.

My new town is named L'Arca. It's from DQVII. The story of the town is where everyone is transformed into an animal (Similar to Animal Crossing). What's better, my name is Noah. L'Arca means "The Ark" in French. Noah from L'Arca. Noah from the Ark.

I've named all my towns in each Animal Crossing to date "Paradise" simply because I've become attached to it.

EmilysParadise ;; I do that too! Until recently all my towns were named Eldorado after my first main NL town that I lost tragically. My current town that I've had or a little over a year now is named Noodle. I decided I would never recreate Eldorado, and after I changed it up for once, I really like my town. I named it noodle after a nickname for my sisters cat.

I named all my towns Toadtown because Paper Mario 64.

In WW and CF i used to name my towns after the city i lived in. (Real original ) And now in NL i named my town "Belridge". A combination of the name of my country "Belgium" and "Bridge" (Bridge as in "a bridge between reality and the game").

I've been running with a music/sound theme since the very beginning.
Harmony (+Rhythm Island), Echo, Cadence, Descant, Melody... been wanting to do "Interlude" for ages but the character limit has other ideas. :\

I named my town Raftel because I love the anime One Piece and Raftel is the name of the legendary island. My flag is also One Piece themed as well as my town tune and character! Really enjoying this town.

My town is relatively new so I just named it after my Discord server "The Second Row"

obviously that doesn't fit so it's just SecndRow, fits the 8 character limit while also being pronounced the same

My town's name is Mevory, because I wanted something unique. It has no meaning whatsoever, but I still kinda like it

Stardust, bc i've been on a kick with space themed town names. my last two were Nebula and Void.

I named my first town Yulu Elm...it's just a name I made up...10-year-old me thought it sounded cool and whimsical...

My second town was named Hideout, just because I thought it sounded cute and cozy

My current town is called Emerald, simply because it's my birthstone

My current town name, Aether, derived from the game Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. The planet Aether is the one Samus explores in the game.

I don't like thinking about naming things too much because it takes me way to long to decide, so I went with something that sounded cool and what I was familiar with.

I named my town Anytown and my character Someone so all the Someone from Anytown designs would be mine

I named my town as Morioh, because me being a JJBA fan, I had to do it. To go with it, I named my character Josuke.

My first ever town, DS Town. I wanted it to resemble the game Wild World.

My first New Leaf town, New Town. Again, not creative.

My second NL town, Moriyo. It's Japanese for Forest generation which matches the theme.

My third NL town, Treehut. I wanted it to be super nature-y. Bonus, it's a refernece to WW, the designs in the game were made in Treehut by someone named Allan. I didn't name my characters Allan thou.

I'm undecided on my remake town. It's going to be a dark scary woods place.

Bluerock. I just thought of it while trying to think of a name. Funnily enough, I found out later it is a fictional town mentioned in a Willie Nelson song (Red Headed Stranger)

I named my town Aegyo because back in 2012 when i picked up the game i was very much into Korean culture and such. Aegyo is a Korean word that basically means acting cute and i wanted my town to be full of cutsey stuff. Kinda cringey looking back but hey i was young lol

Once I get a second copy of ACNL (digital download, I assume), my second town will be named Airwolf, named after my Dad's favorite 80's TV show. It features Stringfellow Hawke, Dominic Santini, Sinjin (St. John), and Briggs (Archangel). Hawke is destined to be the mayor, and that's what he'll do.
