I'm new to this site but I have a question for fellow AC fans to help me with and a short story to go with the question.
So I bought the new Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer game with the amiibo reader as well as a pack each of series 1 and 2 amiibo cards. Now when I open the case to my game I got a DJ KK amiibo card witch I was stoked about and tried to use it right away, but to my surprise the card registers as Isabelle, not DJ KK. now would this be considered a misprint of some sort? and if so should I sell this card or keep?
I don't have an Isabelle card though. I had the rest of my cards on the table and set my amiibo reader on the arm of my couch to read the card since its closer than the table. i tried the card a few times and it still reads as Isabelle.
I wanna see how much i can get for it now so I can buy my much needed craft supplies, but I also wanna save it and see how much I can get in a few years if it turns out to be worth more.
I think you'd need to test it out on someone else's console first. That way you know for certain it's not just some weird glitch you encounterd with yours. And you wouldn't want to sell it as unique and end up with an unsatisfied customer on accident. But if it still scans wrong I would personally sell it off. Then like you said, the big question is do you sell now or do you hold on to it for awhile and see if the value goes up? Either way that's pretty cool if it's a true misprint. Have you searched the Internet to see if there are any more like yours? Anyhow, I hope you make some good money off of it.
I actually forgot i had an account on here and posted about the card hehe.. I dont have another system to test it on but i tried to sell it and was only offered $5 so i dont plan to sell it for a while i guess. I looked all over the internet about the misprint seeing if its happened to others but found nothing. sorry for the late post
