I haven't played this game in a long time and have sold it but... I'm kinda getting sick of New Leaf(even though it's the only one with online). I was wondering if I should buy CF again or buy WW and play it for the first time. Are there any huge features in each game that make it better than the other? I know CF was the game that watered down the villagers(I think?), but it also has holidays. CF is also tempting because it has Wiimfii, but I don't know if that matters because this game has been dead for a while.
I agree, CF was too reliant on Wi-Fi and the villagers didn't feel as alive. Plus you couldn't run without ruining your town. Wild World is so much more fun.

Yes. I think the villagers in WW are a lot more fun.
Plus it's portable. I don't know about you, but for me that counts for something.
I know people complain about the lack of holidays (and they would be nice) but in my opinion you have to look at the whole picture. Holidays are only a small fraction of days in the year, so...
As for alternate CF servers, barely anyone is on there anyway so I don't think it matters too much.
And yes, CF is graphically better, but the graphics don't make the game.
I think if you're used to New Leaf, you'll be very underwhelmed with Wild Wild. WW really lacks a lot of features IMO. City Folk lacks many features, too, but has more than WW.

I personally prefer City Folk over WW, but that mostly is I assume due to the fact CF was my first AC game. Then again, I'm one of those few players that prefer to have Animal Crossing on a console, so I'm hoping that Switch version will hit not too many years from now as it'll make everyone happy regarding the console VS handheld issue
I know it's not in the title, but part of me feels like I prefer City Folk over New Leaf even, for the simple fact that even though New Leaf has so much to do that it took a bit of the relaxing town feeling away. I don't know what it is, but while being a mayor is cool, being just a regular citizen just felt.. better. I guess it doesn't help that I always feel as if the villagers treat you somewhat different due to the mayor status ...

I'm 6 hours ahead of ACC Time. I don't accept random FriendCode Requests!
City Folk was my very first AC game and I loved it! I still play once in awhile, but not so much since Nintendo shut down the WiFi service and New Leaf came out.
I bought a used copy of Wild World a few weeks ago, but can't seem to get into it enough to judge it, and I've got 2 new towns in New Leaf I've been working on.
I love New Leaf though, and with the Welcome Amiibo update, there's much more to do. I use the Meow coupon initiatives as a game within the game. Not so much in my new towns since I'm busy with landscaping them and getting the villagers I want into the towns, but some of them are fun to do.
I'm waiting for a full AC game for the Switch, not the Amiibo Festival they did for the WiiU which is just a board game. I'll get a Switch then, plus a couple other games I'd like to play.
I've watched another player here on ACC stream his AC:GC town. I liked the artwork and the flowers they had then, the ponds with water lilies, etc. Having a ball to kick around seems like fun too!
About CF relying on WiFi. I played City Folk for 6 months before I even knew you could WiFi with it. Now, when I play, it's pretty much the same, except I really miss WiFi-ing with my friends and talking to them with the Wii Speak! It was like they were there in the room with me even though I couldn't see them.
