I have been playing for about 5 days and I haven't seen either. Are they both sold by tommy and timmy?

I would really like to buy one if anyone has one. I have apples I can bring over. Just regular ones. But I would be happy to bring one over if anyone has a can or slingshot I could buy.

I won't run and I'll be very respectful. I'll leave right after if you want.

You get the watering can from Isabelle in the beginning after finishing all the tutorials.

Otherwise you have to wait until the garden center opens.

Did you talk to her for "advise" until she stopped giving it and said that she doesn't have anymore to give.
She should have given you the can then.
