Hello my name is Carrie.I'm playing Animal Crossing City Folk now.I'm having trouble with the fishing part.I need help on how and when do I reel a fish in?How do I get the silver bug catching bet,silver slingshot,silver fishing rod.I got the gold shovel and the silver watering can.

You need to keep an eye and ear open to know when to reel the fish in. The float of the line bobs in the water up to 5 times and on one of those five times (it varies randomly), it will sink under the surface of the water and make a distinctive sploosh sound. Once the float dips down, that's when you need to hold A to reel in Some folks use the visual cue, others the sound and some use both (me).

Edit: Doh .. egg on face! I gave you the info for New Leaf .. maybe the fishing is similar enough to show you how? I dunno I've never really played the Wii game much Though this link should help you with unlocking the tools

Fishing is quite simple once you get the hang of it! When you throw your bobber in the water make sure that it grabs the fish's attention. It will then nibble at it between 1-5 times. I think in City Folk the wii mote will actually give a little vibrate every time it nibbles. When it takes the bait then hit the A key and it will hook the fish in!

Thank you for responding.I know how to get the fish to bite.When I try to reel them they always get away.I always press a as soon as I get a bite.They still get away.What else do I need to do?How do you know whens the right time to reel them in?

If you press A before the bobber has gone totally underwater you won't hook the fish. As I said earlier, wait for the fish to take the bobber totally underwater, then press A. You'll hear a "splash" sound.

Some people suggest closing your eyes and going with the splash sound when catching the sharks in New Leaf (they are the most difficult to catch as you have to reel them in more quickly) .. maybe try that on City Folk and see if it helps?
