I've been island hopping in what seems to be a fruitless attempt to find a sea globe.

No luck.

What I do seem to find is people who stalk the cabana for new visitors.  I know people sometimes go to play with others, but sorry, I'm only here for my search. The way they swoop in on you is kind of creepy.

I wish there was an easier way to search for the Club Tortimer special items.

I deliberately havne't purchased my Club Tortimer pass yet because of that. I would just want to hunt down the items I can't get.

I did that while hunting for the Cabana series. I'd go to about 10 islands a day. I think for the bed I just traded with someone on here, which, yeah. takes the fun out of the hunt... but it kind of stopped being fun after awhile.

I once did hours of island hopping looking for the kitchen island. I found it and purchased three of them. There were three trolls on the island with me. When I started to leave after making my purchase, one of them says, "Look! She's getting away!" and they cut wifi.

Ended up loosing my medals and no kitchen islands. I did eventually find it elsewhere, but now will not even buy if there is anyone else on the island. I don't trust them not to do the same.

I always do a ditch tour on ct if i'm there for something specific and don't want to deal with others.  Upon return, i open a tour that i don't take and that frees me to do what i came to do in peace. Besides, having multiple people on the island causes lag.

I know when I finally find it, there will be an evil troll there and I'll end up losing it.  But so far, I've been lucky, nobody nasty.  As soon as I show up, I get swarmed by excited (kids I assume) visitors, but I'm not in a chatty mood, so I'm the one that feels rude.

Thanks for the offer, Tallis.  I'm going to keep looking for a bit.  Is there a badge for Island visits?  There should be!  And I have to say that I am AMAZED that people are still keen on just going to the Internet Islands to just hang around waiting to bombard new visitors with hellos.  

No badge for island visits, but there are badges for collecting medals on tours. Currently working on my gold.

Darkannie, what is ct? I have tried to do a ditch tour but someone came with me. Then they didn't help so didn't earn any medals. UGH.

I never thought about opening a tour that you never go on just to keep the island private. That is brilliant. Think I will try that.

Tallis, CT is Club Tortimer for short. It would be odd if darkannie did a ditch tour in Connecticut (which shares the same abbreviation, by the way).

I rarely do Club Tortimer. But when I do, I buy what I want and leave. If the island is occupied, I go on a tour to get rid of the other visitors.

I had actually forgotten the shared islands even had a name.

I was bored last night and decided to have some fun trolling the trolls. So i donned my lovely crown, hoping it would make me a target, where i would bow under the threat to let the troll have it, or part with sone if the large weath i surely accumulated to afford it, and just as they pick it up, i kick the wifi.

I didn't get any trolls, sadly, although i did get a japanese girl who kept asking ne for candy, at least what Google translate assurred me she was asking for.

That's such an odd request. Even if i had candy to give, how would i have given it to her at all considering you can't bring pocket items to the islands.

I have had generous friends who had spare furni they didn't want from the island, but that globe! I'm checking there everyday for myself too! goodluck!

It's almost funny how often they come running the second I show up through the doors. Darkannie, I briefly saw someone with a crown this past weekend. I wonder how long before one of us bumps into another. I'll probably be half out the door again before I realize! LOL

Nope, not yet. Looking, looking. How many possible different islands can there be in one day, I wonder?

It's a good question. I've ended up on the same island twice in one night so there must be only a certain number after a while. I got recognised by the other travellers.

Still haven't found the darn thing. I try to go to North American islands 4 times, and Worldwide 4 times a day. How rare is this thing?!

It's super rare! I spent 4 days straight island hopping and doing only quick checks on my villagers to make sure nobody was moving. I went to around 20-30 islands a day.

I have seen it ONCE in two years of play. Same with the kitchen island, which I had purchased from someone early on. I only recently finally ran into it.

The whirlpool tub seems to be the most common among the rares.

I don't see the Kappa costume pieces or pirate hat much either.

Tallis - I see the pirate hat all the time! I only saw the Kappa suit once though. Same with the kitchen island.
