I've been toying with the idea of buying a Gamecube and reliving my younger days with Animal Crossing, Luigi's Mansion and Killer 7. Last night while searching for something, I came across my huge stack of e-Reader cards (as well as both wave birds, my memory cards and several games, I think it's a sign to buy one again.) I looked through all my cards, and surprisingly, I only saw two doubles. Even more surprising, I apparently pulled an Ice Climbers from a pack, as I had it sitting in my stack.
Does anyone else still collect and use these? I plan on getting my set properly placed in sleeves and its own binder, and I'm most definitely using them this weekend if I decide to invest in a GameCube.
I didn't see any e-Reader threads on this board and I would love a hearty discussion on them, if anyone is done for it.
Funny, I came across my e reader card stash by chance just last week. I forgot that I even had that many cards. All series 1 and 2... Do you happen to know which cards in series 2 are more uncommon or rare?
I saved my original gamecube console, and just began a new game collection as well. Going with the basics for now. Marion Sunshine, Double Dash, Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Star Fox adventures, Wave Race, ... Oh, and I still had the Animal Crossing disc and memory card, so I'd be stoked to start a new game as well...
Doesn't seem like there's too much interest in the e-reader cards. Is anybody collecting them at this point? I'll look on eBay every so often to look for any cards I don't have. The e-reader is such a cool little device, but it's a shame it didn't become more popular.
While I also collect the amiibo cards, I just feel like the e-cards have so much more personality with the information and dialogue from each animal. Makes collecting them all the more fun!
munchlax25 those cards are about 15 years old now. I am trying to finish my collection once I found my stash again. I have joined a trading group on Facebook although there's not many members and people post on the trading thread on this site. I hate looking on eBay because they want $5 a card and I don't even have half of them since I was like 10 when the cards came out so I'd be spending a fortune buying them one by one. The e-reader cards themselves are so much better but I love the use of the amiibo cards and figures. I'm obsessed with the Zelda series and am working on an amazing room right now because of the amiibo functions
Yeah, I understand that haha. I've considered finishing my e-reader collection, but I'm still working towards my amiibo collection, which is more important to me since they (hopefully) will have use in future AC games. I love the e-reader cards though, and if I ever have a chance to pick some up on the cheap, I will do so without a second thought. I almost want to buy an unopened pack just to experience the excitement of picking them up at Walmart when I was younger.
