I have been searching high and low for these cards in stores here in Boston and they are either sold out of they don't sell them. Tried all targets, all walmarts, all best buys and game stops and none of them. I ended up creating a facebook group called Animal Crossing Amiibo card swap and sell
I only created it to see if I could get some of these cards. However with the game I got a Sahara card.
I was able to get 3 packs from Target online with free shipping because store I picked to pick them up at did not have them in stock. Target and Walmart have an online limit of 3 per order. Also Best Buy has a limit of one per order. Gamestop hasn't had them in a few days and I forgot to get them on Friday when I picked up my game.
Amazon had them but sold out quickly and now sellers want $8 a pack and $3 to ship.
Yeah, I have a few packets of cards on order and if I don't get the ones I really need I might go the eBay route. I'm never going to get them all and it'll likely be cheaper to spot buy the ones I really want
Come visit my shop! Suggestions for new stock are welcome!
I checked two Gamestops the past couple of days and neither of them had them. Then I tried Target, and they had two packs, both of which I bought. xP They seem slightly hard to get ahold of at the moment, but hopefully there will be less of a shortage soon.

I reserved a pck at game stop today. Went to pick it up and the guy goes we are sold out and I said I reserved and he laughed. He hid the last pack for me! So I have one pack and 3 packs shipping from target.
Sahara came with my game. In my pack I got SP 12 redd, 89 Diana, 71 yuka, 53 limberg, 38 patty, 33 bill. I also have 34 Kiki, 25 al, and 96 Cole coming to me. Got them all for a buck each free shipping off ebay
I get mine at Target, but yeah they're usually sold out. They usually keep them in the back and hide them.
Also, I heard some disturbing news about them. Target told me that this $6 a pack price is actually a sale price, and eventually they're going to be around $12 a pack :/ So gotta get them while they're affordable.
I have yet to go to the stores around here and look for them but Best Buy said they didn't have any in stock. And I don't exactly live in a gaming town or with any real video game community. It's starting to look like I'm going to have to buy all the cards online. I spend enough money on e-reader cards back in the day and those were hard enough to get when I was a kid. Not looking forward to paying so much for dupes. Non rares and basic cards I can definitely deal with, maybe I'll have to join a group to buy and sell too.

The day the game came out, I was so desperate to get Bunnie that I ended up getting about 20 packs or so, at different times throughout the day. Maybe 18 but it was def close to there. I would go out, buy like 1-5 packs, go home, open them, get disappointed, then go back out. It was a vicious cycle. I ended up just getting bunnie on ebay. I only need about 35 cards to complete the set now. It's pretty cool to see most of the set in my binder honestly

Amiibo Cards are the bane of my existence
One EBgames that is owned by Gamestops has cards each time I visit. They get them when Nintendo send more Amiibos which is a lot lately with Yoshi new game and The Villager been released again.
Another looking on online ads if you like in Canada. There is Used that is very good. Just type in Used and than add your cities name. I found a person with one of my last cards. Went to a local coffee shop and we traded cards. Yeah to no postage.
