I know HHH isn't very similar to a mainline AC game, but I'm wondering if playing it will get rid of my desire to play New Leaf. I'm still enjoying New Leaf and I don't want to buy HHH right now if it's just going to "replace" New Leaf.
For those of you who have gotten a chance to play HHH already and have been simultaneously maintaining another AC game, have you found that you can play both comfortably, or does one game get "stale"?
Maybe it's still too early to tell though, the game just released.
Even though I just got it yesterday, I haven't run into any issues and I play HHD, NL, and WW everyday. I just limit myself to how long I play HHD a day, since the game isn't actually very long and not as big as New Leaf can end up.
It hasn't really given me anything that leads me to believe it'll make me stop playing any AC game. It's just for designing homes for villagers, it has new ways to decorate homes and even design the entire outside/yard area but you don't live in the village and go out and do any of the things you can in NL.
Hope this helps.

I also limit myself on HHD! The best thing is that there is a lot you cant do in HHD such as NL, so its good to play both! I play my ACNL all the time! (I'm not saying HHD is bad! Its great! But yeah! Its different compared to NL, totally new thing, you should give it a try.)

Since HHD, I've slacked off on playing NL, I have to admit. It'll be awhile before the newness of HHD wears off, but I'm not done will NL at all, just taking a break from it. HHD is so much fun and fills the desire to be able to decorate the inside of the animals' homes which we never could do in the other Animal Crossing games before. Sure, you could mail them a piece of furniture, but they didn't always put what you sent them in they're rooms. Nothing worse was to send a gift, only to find it in Retail's Flea Market a few days later! Now, I not only get to design their homes, but I can choose the location where their home will be as well as what the house looks like, the landscape too! I still let them give feedback as I choose items for their home,, but for the most part I'm in charge!
