I'm planing on getting a wii u so I'm wondering on some good games the one I'm getting is coming with one of the new mario games (I think it's super 3D Mario world) and I'm debating over Pikmin 3 or smash wii u any other game suggestions and pikmin in 3 or smash
animal crossing new leaf, animal crossing GC, animal crossing wild world, Pokemon moon
Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors (although you may want to wait for the 3DS version as it comes with all the character DLC and more from the start), Pikmin 3 over Smash (mostly cause I'm not crazy into Smash but it is fun to play with others and there's a bunch of content), Splatoon for suuuure, and that's mostly what I think are must buys. Super Mario Maker also, if you're into making your own stuff.
ACNL, ACHHD (3DS) Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, ACAF (Wii U)
You might overlook it, but Lego City: Undercover is actually a really good game. Apparently Lego Marvel Super Heroes is good too, but I haven't played that one. Also, Yoshi's Woolly World is one of the best platformers I've ever played, and Runbow (from the eShop) is one of the best multiplayer games on Wii U (along with Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros, Splatoon).
Ooh man, my family's really into the Wii U, so I've got plenty...
Splatoon Lego City Undercover Super Mario 3D World New Super Mario Bros. U Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (The graphics get me every time) Hyrule Warriors Scribblenauts Unlimited Injustice: Gods Among Us Nintendo Land Assassins Creed III (haven't actually played, but my father loves it) Assassins Creed IV (Same as III) Batman: Arkham City: Armored Edition (Still haven't played, but great story, and my father loves the gameplay) The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Mario Kart 8 Pikmin 3 The Wonderful 101 (Very underrated.) Super Smash Bros. U Lego Marvel Super Heroes Yoshi's Wooly World
Pokemon White 2, Pokemon Sword, TLoZ: The Winder Waker, Hades
@ gr8gabs: That's actually almost my entire library, not counting digital downloads of retail games, indie games, or Virtual Console games. The only real differences are that my library does not have Lego City Undercover, Hyrule Warriors, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, or physical disc versions for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze or Lego Marvel Super Heroes yet.
My library consists of the following disc-based games, and in the order they were obtained:
-Nintendo Land -Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed -New Super Mario Bros. U -Batman: Arkham City-Armored Edition -Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition -Assassin's Creed III -Pikmin 3 -ZombiU -New Super Luigi U -Super Mario 3D World -The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD -Sonic Lost World-Deadly Six Bonus Edition -DuckTales: Remastered -The Wonderful 101 -Need For Speed: Most Wanted U -007: Legends -Mario Kart 8 -Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge -Injustice: Gods Among Us -Disney Infinity -Super Smash Bros. for Wii U -Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker -Call of Duty: Black Ops II -Kirby and the Rainbow Curse -Splatoon -Super Mario Maker -Yoshi's Woolly World
I also have these retail-based games as digital downloads, although I'd love to have the actual physical dics as well:
-TANK! TANK! TANK! -Wii Fit U -Wii Sports Club -Wii Party U -Game & Wario -Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures -Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze -Lego Marvel Super Heroes -Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes -Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist -Rayman Legends -Skylanders: Trap Team
In addition to the games mentioned earlier like Hyrule Warriors, at some point I'd also like to add the Bayonetta 2/Bayonetta combo pack, Disney Infinity 3.0, and Lego Dimensions to my collection as well.
To the thread starter: So as you can see by the posts made so far, you have lots of options for choosing games. As to if they are "good" games though, will depend completely on the player in question. For example, if you like shooting games better than racing games, you might find Call of Duty games and Splatoon to be amazing while you could care less about Mario Kart 8 and Need For Speed.
If you haven't purchased a system yet, you may wish to hold off just a bit, as it's been leaked that a Smash Splat bundle will be released in North America, which includes the 32GB Deluxe system and digital copies of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Splatoon. The exact release date, however, has not been confirmed, aside from the fact it's supposed to be released before the end of November 2015.
@ gr8gabs: Ha ha. Thanks. You'd be terrified to see my entire video game collection though. Most people are. It's more than three digits long .-.
Also forgot to mention Shovel Knight as a retail game I'd like to pick up now, and future releases Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, Rodea the Sky Soldier, and Mighty Number 9. Not sure if it still is, but last I check amiibo Festival was still on track to be a free download in the Nintendo eShop, but you'd also need at least one Animal Crossing amiibo to play it. Guess we'll find out next week.
"I have decided that I will buy a WII u with no games in the package pikmin 3, wind waker HD and probly Lego dimensions because portal"
Not possible. All Wii U Deluxe systems contain at least one pack-in game. Basic systems, which only have 8GB of data by default and only about 3GB of open data once the system is set up, have been out of production for a long time.
Pikmin 3, unless you purchase a digital copy and download it on to the system, is a rare game, with used copies often costing at least $60 and factory sealed copies often going for upwards of $80+. You can still get Pikmin 3, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, and Lego Dimensions, but you'll have to pick from one of the following system bundles:
-Mario Kart 8 + DLC Packs 1 & 2 -Splatoon bundle (includes Splatoon and Nintendo Land, Best Buy exclusive) -Super Mario Maker bundle (includes Super Mario Maker and 8-bit Modern Colors Mario amiibo, Wal-Mart exclusive) -ZombiU bundle (includes ZombiU, Nintendo Land, and Wii U Pro Controller) -Smash Splat Battle Pack (includes Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Splatoon, available late November)

^ Wooly World is great! It's very similar to Yoshi's Island. I haven't played a lot because I haven't had my Wii U with me since Halloween but I love what I've played! Plus the Yarn Yoshi Amiibo are toooooo cute.
