I was at GameStop today and saw that they had City Folk for sale. My wii broke forever ago, but they sold me one for 70 bucks so I thought that was a pretty good deal. Just seeing if anyone still plays at all? I'm about to become so addicted again.

Well incase you don't know wifi got discontinued so that's the 1st reason why people don't play CF. Also, NL is out so that's the other reason why people don't play CF anymore. But CF is my favorite AC game so I play it daily. I really like it, and I have put way more effort into my town in CF than my town in NL.

Whaaat?! No way, why did they do that? No wonder the wii was so cheap, although the guy working said that you can play all Wii games on the WiiU. AC is my favorite as well. I have New Leaf but I can't find it and it's the second copy I have actually bought. So forgetful and DS games are so little I was hoping to come on here and the giveaways still be a thing

Well Nintendo WFC was run by a company called gamespy. Gamespy went defunct, the contract ran out, and then Nintendo was forced to shut it down. The last day to play games online on the Wii and DS was May 20th, 2014.

Yeah I saw that. I can't believe it has been well over a year since I played CF.

Well I got replacement wifi but other than that I play CF completely hack free. Its a really fun game, even if you can't play online anymore. I hope you have fun talking to your villagers, paying off your debt, going to the city, and more in Animal Crossing: City Folk.

I bought CF not too long ago and I haven't played as much as I've played WW and NL, but I'm still loving the game! I adore the city feature, even if I get fake paintings from Redd every time...

One of the new features is getting different shoes in the city. In GCN and WW you couldn't change your shoes, but now you can. Probably the best new feature along with the Nook store optionally downgrading and new holidays in CF.

I've only been playing CF for a while, but its aged pretty well, and I still think an older AC game that isn't GCN can still be fun, even after the release of New Leaf.

i'm a crazy guy who've been playing cf for almost 7 years, i haven't get every carpet and wallpaper which needs to trade from saharah, if i get all of them, i'll stop play cf, i'm thinking about sell my cf copy

I'm right there with ya. Bought CF the first month it came out and was incredibly addicted. I just have a problem with resetting my town. Constantly constantly resetting, same is still true for NL. With this new copy of CF though I think im going to play till I have everything and then maybe call it quits for good....maybe. Not having WFC is a big downer, but I would still rather play CF over NL. It is so much more enjoyable to play on a TV in my opinion.

I don't know which one I prefer, but CF is still my favorite AC game. Going to play it right now.

Its very funny because they made shirts for before the 1st Animal Crossing game on the N64 even existed. Which means its impossible until that year comes after the game passes its last year in the game, or until you time travel for it.

I'll be playing for a while since theres lots of things to do.

Would you guys consider time traveling cheating?
I've tried to not time travel but always find myself wanting to do more so I'll time travel to the next day and do everything I need to do, then time travel to the next day. haha.

I prefer to not time travel in CF and WW, but I do in NL, but that's just because its my least favorite AC game.

I'm not sure why I'm still playing CF, considering how I'm slowly losing interest in animal crossing.

I will sometimes lose interest, but I always come back to it. But I'll go a super long time playing then take a long time not playing it. I haven't had too much freetime this summer, and I'm finally getting some back now.

Once I start losing more interest, I'll play once a week to keep my town up to shape, but still limit my play time a bit.

As of right now I play ACCF once a day.

I still play CF! I'm used to no wifi since I'm coming from the GC version. It's a great game, wifi or not.

I still play it too. Its good for what it is. Although the whole game was supposed to be the ultimate wifi experience. NL just can't beat CF's wifi, and some other people agree. Computer keyboard, Wii speak, all sorts of other things that made it better than WW's, and now NL's, wifi.
