Hi

I'm looking look people who have read a few books on Bushido, and I'm not looking for people to do my own google search.

I was overwhelmed by the amount of books on the topic & reviews!

I heard the one Teddy Roosevelt liked "Soul of Japan" was quite good-
but wouldn't be good for me as I'm not really interested in ones pandering to a Western perspective, I want the true Japanese explanation of Bushido & nothing watered down or "modernized" I want the true code.

Something with a large print alternative would be even better!

I'm sure one GG gamer out there knows of a good Bushido book, written in English but still maintaining the Japanese spirit.
I really would like to share something special with a friend of mine, and philosophies that are important to me.

I have no idea what Bushido is but I'm sure you can just look around the internet and find one that looks interesting to you, or go to local bookstores/libraries and see if any of them strike your fancy :>

But I'm not just trying to get people to google things for me, I was trying to ask from their experience.

Oh yeah I know what you're saying, I was just saying that since it didn't seem like anyone was posting anything about their personal experiences/suggestions ^^

The best book I ever read on Bushido was The Book of the Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi.  You won't regret reading this book.

I have a book called "The way of the samurai" by Inazo nitobe.There is quite a bit about Bushido in it.

This is difficult unless you know Japanese.  Books translated into Western languages will pretty obviously be geared towards Westerners.  You may be better off investing your time into learning a new language.

The book of five rings and the hagakure are the only books on the subject that should be seriously considered IMO
