So can the char be found at either waterfalls during September, or is it limited to a specific waterfall?  And are they typically hidden in the waterfall or do they wander away from it?

I don't know if in New Leaf, the area on the beach is salmon only or chars too. If they did appear there, they would probably wander away like any other fish would.


And just so you know, you can catch them from 4AM-9PM.

The best luck I've had catching chars is by the waterfall connecting to the ocean. If I remember correctly they typically show up below the waterfall.

You can catch them below the waterfall or in the river near the waterfall.  Player 3 caught 3 in one evening.

I'm having such bad luck with this... maybe I'll wait until all the salmon are gone...
