"Ugh..."  Kathryn grunted; annoyed from walking. "Well...a snack wouldn't hurt..." she said, with a mostly American voice; though the touch of a German accent was quite obvious.  "I think I should probably find some wood first." she growled, heaving the bag onto her back again.  She began looking for firewood as she continued walking down the trail, not having much luck.

Ezlen finished up packing, and decided to leave the building for a while, taking his montante with him, along with his tome. He continued towards the forest for some time before suddenly catching the scent of another like him- And he turned to try and find whoever it was, not knowing if it was a smart idea or not- Not that he really cared if it was a good idea.

Kathryn constantly moaned and groaned as she eventually gathered enough wood for a small fire-pit.  "Great...now I need to start it." she grumbled, taking off the bag and laying down her book as she began digging.  She stopped abruptly, taking out her katana as she walked back to the bag lazily.  "Forgot to give them some air first..."

Ezlen found her, and stood about twenty feet behind her, the sheathed montante's point between his feet. He simply looked like a rather tall, imposing human at this point- But, of course, it was only a matter of seconds, he figured, before she noticed him.

Kathryn cut the seal of the bag, letting a large scent of fresh meat out.  "Mmmmm...I should have brought more than this..." she laughed after taking a sniff.  She sheathed the sword and turned to continue digging, only then catching sight of an odd figure behind her.  "...Hello?" she asked, sticking out her nose to try and smell exactly what it was over the smell of the meat.

(lol, I find it funny whenever someone just randomly uses a katana. It is literally one of the worst swords in blacksmith history typically, only used as a last resort or for slaughtering unarmed peasents)

"It's just what I can do, I am not the same as you..." Amirah hopped back into his pile of books which began to squirm and shake as he searched for something.
After a small caoughing fit, the pile of books held still for a minute and Amirah popped his head out of a nearby bookcase. With little effort, Amirah freed himself with several different books he carried back over to Iolo.
"Your legend carries on" Amirah began as he opened one book after another, one with a fantastic illustration of a Raiju, another with a passage from a teen adventure detailing a battle with a thunder beast, and so on, "But me, there's no mention of a creature like me in any of these books."
Amirah sat down next to Iolo again, "Going outside, it won't change anything... I just need time to rest and get better."

(Well, certainly, against armour, such a sword is useless, but that was a bit of an exaggeration on your part- Look at spadroons, swordsticks and smallswords. Those things aren't capable of cutting to any reasonable degree and have a pretty pitiful blade for thrusting, and have unresilient guards, at best.  

And besides, you don't use a sword against armour in the first place- A mace, polearm, or a war bow are much better options, or if you don't have those options, use half-swording to stab through the gaps of armour, or grip the blade and use the Murder Stroke, AKA striking with the guard. Yes, that was done and is demonstrated in several manuals.)

Ezlen walked towards Kathryn, and nodded. "You're one of my blood, aren't you? I could smell it as I went by."

Kathryn saw they were the same species, getting a good sniff to confirm it.  "Well, seems so..." she said, immediately going back to her task at hand.  "So, what's your name?" she asked Ezlen as she continued digging.

The Raiju sighed lightly, his head dropping just a tad as his friend sat down next to him again, before he glanced back up at the boy, as if trying to judge what he wanted to say in this situation. He eventually gave another small sigh, shifting a little on his haunches, before his head pivoted over to look directly at Amirah. "I may have a legend, but that doesn't mean that you don't have one as well. Maybe you just haven't realized your own yet." He said, a little lamely, clearly not knowing what he could have said in this situation to ease his friend's woes a tad. When the boy then mentioned how going outside wouldn't change anything, his ears perked up, and he looked to Amirah. "Amirah, getting some fresh air might do good for you." He urged, getting up. "Come on, we could take a walk, get our minds off of things." He said, standing up.

"I'm Ezlen. And your name is?" He relaxed and his paw sparked as he made an attempt to light the firewood that she had gathered. Now that he knew there were others who shared his particular trait, he felt as if it were his duty to help her, due to the way he was brought up as a werewolf.

(lol, never heard of those things, but weebs don't praise them for being folded over 9000 times and being able to cut through solid platinum.)

Hearing Iolo talk of realizing one's legend, Amirah grew slightly frustrated and spread out a few more books. Amirah continued flipping though pages of books, despite the impossiblity of having more than he had originally brought back down with him, pointing out more instances of Raijus. Realizing that Iolo wasn't understanding what he was getting at, Amirah sighed and began kicking up the books one by one, until there was a tower of books that dwarfed the small boy. Amirah was about to begin the process of climbing when Iolo suggested going outside in a manner Amirah knew he would be unable to argue with.
Looking up at the tower of books, then back to Iolo, Amirah sighed, "Alright, if you say so. But I'm not letting any of your new guests play with my hair again."

Kathryn finished digging the small pit, looking quickly after hearing the spark.  "I...uh, I'm Kathryn." she said, tossing the wood into the pit.  "I never was good at fire..." she huffed, walking back and flipping through her book.  "Well, since you're here...are you hungry?" she asked Ezlen, as she reached in her bag and grabbed a piece, holding it up to him.  "It doesn't take too long to cook...just have to start this fire..."

"Not particularly... However, let me try something." He launched a bolt, to try and light the fire, of course, ensuring she wasn't hit. "Besides, you've had a hard road. You save some for yourself."

She watched the wood ignite with a blaze; but rather than get scared, she stifled a laugh and simply smiled.  "That's quite interesting..." she said, facing Ezlen as she prepared a meat-spit from a few branches.  "So you know magic?  I never would have guessed that!"  She left the meat she offered him out instead of taking out a new one.

"Yes, I was a mage before I became lycanthrope." He crossed his legs and set the sword beside him. "So, what of you? I see you carry a sword as well, but do you know how to use it?"

Iolo shook his head at the persistence his friend was showing when it came to showing him the many instances of Raijus in legend, folklore, and even stories in general, knowing exactly why he was doing this, too. Well, at least he thought he knew exactly why. Even with as long as the two had known each other, he was finding he couldn't completely understand someone completely, even his friend. He perked up a little when the boy actually complied to his request to go for a small walk, however, and gave a small smile in his fox form, standing up on all four of his legs. "All right. We should go, then, and I'll try my hardest not to let any of our visitors play with your hair. That ghost girl was a strange one though, wasn't she?" He mused, heading for the door to the hallways.

"Nope." she said flatly to Ezlen, as she finished the meat-spit.  "Well, sometimes I cook with it...if that counts."  She walked over to the fire and hung her future meal over it before sitting down again.  "My dad bought it for me...when I was 17..."

"Well, if you want to learn, I know the basics of HEMA- Historical European martial arts- But then again, Japanese martial arts are something different entirely." Ezlen came close to touching it. "Can I have a look?"

Oberon remained looking confused and annoyed with this all. He'd been very much enjoying the music, or at least thought he had, and the abrupt stop had been jarring enough even before Ajax had begun behaving so oddly. When Ajax had flinched and pulled away and even seemed to start to cry Oberon was even further confused with that had just happened, but it was only until after he'd begun to walk away that the gears fully began to turn in his head again, and he realised that perhaps, even if it was basically impossible for someone like a faerie prince to be wrong about anything, but maybe he shouldn't of snapped at him like that... Either way, it was pretty clear he'd upset Ajax, and a lot more than he'd of intended to had he even intended so. After a moment of internal debate and uncertainty he seemed to finally come together with a look of realisation, folding the map as he spoke up. "Hey! N-no, wait, Ajax, wait up! Don't go! AJ!" He called out as he hurried after the satyr. "Wait!"

Ajax didn't turn back until he'd heard the hurried calls of the faerie he was currently walking away from, his ears perking up ever so slightly and Ajax himself turning back to the boy, tears still in his eyes and a sad look to his face. "What...?" He asked, wiping his eyes with the sleeve of his shirt, sniffling a little as he waited for the boy to say something, before eventually speaking up himself. "L-Listen, Obey, I-I'm really sorry if I made you mad..." He mumbled, looking down and away from the boy, still clutching his lute close to his chest. "I-I didn't mean to, I was just kinda concerned there for a second. It looked like you'd zoned out, and I wasn't sure what was wrong." He explained, trying his best to quell the anger that he assumed the faerie boy still had within him. "S-So, if you can find it in you to forgive me, I really am sorry for upsetting you." He said, with an air of finality, smiling lightly. "S-So can we be friends again?"

The sword was quickly covered in a sheet of ice as it froze to her back.  "I'd uh...I'd rather you didn't..." she answered Ezlen, turning to look down at the ground.  "This sword is very important to me...I don't like to just give it away to anybody..."

Ezlen put his hand down, not touching it. "I can understand. You're also a mage, though, I notice." He stretched slightly, chuckling. "One lycanthrope mage in an area is rare enough; Two is unthinkably rare."

Kathryn simply nodded, picking her head up.  "I've been studying it for a while now." she said, looking at the fire as she spoke to Ezlen.  "Hey, do you mind if I ask you something?"

"Sure, go ahead." Ezlen switched from sitting cross-legged to kneeling, sending out tendrils of electricity in the air, "feeling" for birds in the trees.

She looked over at the fire-pit, seeing the meat was ready.  "Umm, do you get all...you know, 'beastly', when the full moon is out?" she said, walking to her meal, even dousing the fire to retrieve it safely.
