While ACC allows users to arrange WiFi sessions on the General WiFi Lobby board, they do not allow discussion of it. This is because Wiimmfi uses unofficial servers and requires players to perform a task in order to play on them. ACC does not support this type of modification/hacking because of the site's unofficial affiliation with Nintendo, so I don't see the existence of Wiimmfi being an unavoidable obstruction for the removal of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection games.
That being said, if Wiimmfi-compatible friend codes were removed from the ACC Friend Code system, it would not be breaking the Site Rules to exchange those friend codes via Private Threads; it says the following in the Site Rules: "If a game is released that is not in the FC Tool, then you are allowed to swap codes in PT's only, until the game is added."
It says "until the game is added", but I presume that this would also apply after the friend codes are removed. We'll have to wait for a modmin to respond in order to get confirmation on that.
I like the idea of keeping them up just for the simple reason of ratings we've already received for these games. They're not hurting anyone by staying up and we get to reminisce on which games we've played on here with other users.
I see, I like it
I want it, I got it.
It looks very confusing and unnecessary to anyone [new to the site] trying to figure out what field to put their friend code in. The page is long enough to click Page Down at least 10 times, when the only relevant fields are few enough to fit on one screen.
When editing Friend Codes, the page is long indeed when all consoles have been selected, which is true by default. Maybe we should make it clearer that one can filter on console, and that when for instance "3DS" is being selected, it only shows four lines?
