You should've specified. How would anyone know you wanted tips to keep them from breaking? And that's a pretty simple thing to prevent. Just don't treat them like trash and they'll be fine.
Well, I don't know anything about the Pokémon games you bought, but I do know Link's Awakening, and everything you'll need to win is right here if you got the DX version. But it should serve you well. I know it did me.

Marauder's not wrong with their now defunct (what the *? Trolling/Insults? Choose a better reason at least.) post. Hold on to the systems as a neat collector's item, but it doesn't even make sense playing Pokemon R/B with the fear of a dying battery. That, and Link's Awakening DX is a better version. If you're going to play, may as well play the definitive version.
That and battery powered systems are flat out expensive relatively speaking. It was like a straight arcade machine, paying quarters per hour to fuel it.

Well I happen to have the dx version so ya I have a ton of batteries and I have played it for hours since I got it on one pair of batteries the original owners save files have been deleted now but they were completely intact

I know how it works usually i play a pokemon game finish it put it back in its case when I finish it And play the latest game until the next comes out then I add it to my shelf and then when I get find my Crystal version and a copy of stadium I'll get on and my pokemon will be safe on a more reliable game for save data
