It's 7 PM in August, and in the game the sky is FILLED with stars and darkness, but in real life? It's PERFECTLY BRIGHT! Anybody else notice this?

Well since it doesn't run on real time (hence why you are able to time travel) then it may be different. Someone in a different time zone may have a dark sky just like the game. It depends where in the world they are.

If only Animal Crossing experienced the horrors of daylight savings too, lol...

(I love that it's light out longer, but MAN oh MAN doesn't the time being off just mess up absolutely everything).
