Going to copy-paste from my post on the other thread like this. [: Can't wait til it becomes against the rules to comment on how bad the site is.
This site was so great and now it's literally a joke.
Harsh, I know, but it's true. There is no effort put toward keeping this site up-to-date. The only people that enjoy it here have been here for years. Forums are going way out of style and ACC has rubbish rules that make it even more tedious than normal forums. The site has no development. And no, nobody cares about how much work is "in progress". Projects have been under way literally for years. Look at the bell shop. At this point they can't even update the weekly poll with something clever and original every week. Honestly, I'm not going into detail, but if you take your time and look at ACC as a whole, it's one big unfinished mess. All this site does is change its staff, and that's probably because most of the staff don't have time trying to run a lost cause!
The developers really need to pull themselves together. I'm just so embarrassed for them. This is the forum equivalent of a depressed kid that can't get out of bed and hasn't had a bath in a week, who has a ton of homework piling up and is getting morbidly obese by the day.
Someone had to say it.
This summer's gonna hurt like a-
I hate the system for requesting dream addresses and friend codes. It's very confusing. I believe that it is perfectly safe to post your codes online. Nintendo themselves restrict the sharing of personal information. When you exchange friend codes you only get their Mii, Mii name, and favorite title. You can even decide if 3DS friends can see your online status or not. What's so bad about that?
Please visit my dream address! I put a lot of work into it.

^I'm not too fond of it myself. And TBH, I also think it's a bit confusing, especially receiving FCRs. You gotta figure out what code, you have to go through the list of your friend codes to find that person and add them, the list of your buddys' friend FCs are in no particular order, making looking (and even memorizing) for the user you want to add quite frustrating once you get so much friend codes from others in you list to keep up with.
I think if people were allowed to exchange friend codes in the threads and private threads, more people would be willing to exchange. That could even make this site more active.
