So a few months ago, my nephew cracked my case around the spots where you get notifications. It was mostly a blemish and the game worked fine, so I was a little peeved but not too upset. Well, today, that part completely popped off when I closed my lid. That ended up being a huge problem. It caused the lid to get loose. I have the exclusive bundle so it felt worth it to pay for the repair. But my biggest concern is when it gets sent back to me, it may have an entirely different casing, rendering it as an ordinary 3DS. I spent 144.00 dollars to get it repaired because it was the limited time bundle. For that price, I could have gotten a used one. I will be majorly upset if they return my bundle 3ds with new casing without the new leaf decals.

I don't think they would change the casing, especially if it was an exclusive deal. I'd be very upset too if they did that to me. Hope it all goes well!

Maybe you could try contacting the company you sent it to and ask what they would do for that? Or maybe their website has a FAQ with that info

It occurred to me that the part that would need replacing is the casing around the interface section since that was where the break happened, where the notification light is and the casing with the decals are nearly perfect other than just a few barely noticable scuffs from use and being 3 years old. So they may not even have to concern over the casing at all and just replace the cover around the touch screen. That's all white anyway so it can be replaced easily.
