It would be great to see that, because my buddies are in different time zones, and sometimes I just want to log on, find another person line with me---check out their profiles and latest posts & if they seem cool wi-fi with them!

I think this would be an exciting way to meet buddies, and also if you noticed someone who is often online at the same time as you, they would make a great wi-fi buddy as your times line up nicely & you can observe that.

---

Also I'm not sure how to resolve this but---theamount of times I've seen someone post something I can help out with or interested in, but I give up replying so much now because they aren't online anymore & by the time I reply from the other side of the world someone else will have helped them out.

Is there sub-forums for different parts of the world with huge time differences?

Sometimes with old posts it's hard to tell if the request has been fulfilled or not, and maybe those ones could be striked out or deleted off the boards.

I intend to update my item requests etc to prevent this happening on my end.

Hi there,

Although there is no way of seeing everyone who is online when you are, I am aware of two ways of finding people on at the same time as you.

One is to use the ACC Buddies option at the top. Although you said that they are not always on the at the same time as you, there will be people within the community who are on at the same time as you and follow similar time zones. If you use the Wi-Fi Lobby to find people who want to Wi-Fi at the same time you are online, you can add them to your buddy list if you would want to Wi-Fi again with them some time, and then you'll know when they are online in the future.

Another way is to click on the "Friend Codes" option on the left of the page under "AC Community". You can then view users that are online at that time at the same time as you under certain headings (e.g. 3DS Code). This can be used to find a few people, but this will only bring up people, who from their profile, have selected the option for their name appear in the Friend Code registry. So not all people online will be shown using this.

Although the ability to see everyone who is online at the same time as you may be handy, some people may want to just look/browse on ACC without being sent PT asking to Wi-Fi, so this would have some drawbacks. Also, it may potentially hard to set up, since new members joining the will mean the list and there are thousands of users that would have to be added.

"Is there sub-forums for different parts of the world with huge time differences?"

Not as far as I'm aware, no.

"Sometimes with old posts it's hard to tell if the request has been fulfilled or not, and maybe those ones could be striked out or deleted off the boards."

Sometimes people choose to lock them ('striked out') after their PT has run its purpose, but others don't always lock them, so I understand your point about this. I used to just look at threads with no replies if I was wanting to help fulfil a request, so that's probably the best thing to do for that.

This has been an ongoing problem in the community. It would be great if members would take the time to  lock every thread they are done with but it doesn't always happen. It especially would be nice on the Trading boards where it can be very annoying to go through a whole thread to find out in the last post that it's over already.

This is your best bet.  It filters out people who don't want any random friend code requests.  It is actually more helpful than a list of online people because most people would ignore you if you randomly ask to wifi with them.

Thank you for the well thought out responses.

Re "random" wi-fi:

It wouldn't be random--I dislike random requests...I take a long time to read through the profile, latest posts, view ratings and then send a PT-- if they reply to that I'll exchange friend codes. I have pretty high standards.

I don't want to wi-fi with just anyone online, I just find it easier if that information is available. I'll use the friend code method suggested.

--sad to hear that Jarikira, I know the frustration.
