Oh my goodness I just now got around to reading the 2014 Community Noticeboard post, I don't know for certain if it was 2014 because it does not say when the post was created and it only lists when it was last updated but it could have just as easily been 13th December 2013 and it appears as though that is the date that it was created but again it does now say when the post was created so that is simply a calculated guess, but anyway this old Community Noticeboard post mentions a lot of ACC moderators and important people who have left this website. And the only ones that I recognized were BowserBasher and Soccerluvver. I mean these two people were very very very active on these forums! So active that they were an important part of the community as a whole. I remember seeing their posts everywhere. Where did they leave to? Where did they go? And why? Was it perhaps because of the pay that they were receiving? Or do all ACC staff members work for free as a volunteer service? And I did the research and I crunched some numbers, and for those of you who are wondering, here is the entire list of all of the people who have left and who have joined according to the official ACC Community Noticeboard. Take a look at these numbers 0.o:
Staff Members Who Joined 1 Poncho95 2 waterdragon 3 yankees24cano 4 cooljdude 5 SolidStar
So as you can see from this list almost twenty majorly important people have left this website! And only five have joined! So we are down 14 important people from the staff . I will especially miss BowserBasher because I always thought that he was like equally important as Jader. He was a very integral part of the community. But yeah did nineteen people leave perhaps because of pay cuts? Or do the staff work by volunteering? And what of the future of this website? If there are nineteen people gone and only five joining then doesn't this mean that ACC is running out of staff members and people to work on the website? My worry is, what will happen in the future? Is ACC in need of staff members as of now?

I just read the (6/4 8:43am) 2015 post on the Community Noticeboard and now another person has left! And another . Officially bringing the known total of important people who have left the website to over twenty! With over twenty people gone, what will happen in the future? But at least one new person has joined. Here is the completed and updated list:
Staff Members Who Joined 1 Poncho95 2 waterdragon 3 yankees24cano 4 cooljdude 5 SolidStar 6 errorcode3000
So this raises several questions for me:
1 The first Community Noticeboard post titled "The Revolving ACC Staff Door - 2014" says specifically that it was "Updated" on 2014 (Updated: 12/13/2014 2:45pm). But if you look at the other dates on the post some of the very first ones are 13th December, 16th November, and 15th September. But of what year? Does this mean that the first post was first started on December 13th 2013 and that the other dates are from the rest of the 2014 year? The post only says when it is updated. It does not specify when it was first created. So when was it first created? December 13th 2013 or sometime in 2014?
2 Did the staff members perhaps leave because of possible pay cuts because of less members online? Or do all ACC staff members work on a volunteer basis? Do staff members get paid to work for this website?
3 with all of those important ACC figures gone, such as BowserBasher, I am worried about the future of ACC. Like as of now, is Animal Crossing Community short on staff or anything?
4 Liv909 what is the Special Projects team? Does it count as staff? I do not know what the Special Projects team is?

I can't answer Question 1, but I can possibly help with the others.
ACC staff work on a volunteer basis. They're not paid any money so mostly, it's not a pay issue that causes resignation/leaving. Usually real life catches up with people for various reasons and they realize that they cannot prioritize ACC or dedicate themselves to the site like they used to. It also has nothing to do with the amount of members.
I personally wouldn't say we're short on staff. It's a subjective term though. The ACC Staff page shows you all of the current administrators, moderators, researchers, developers, and scouts. IMO, there seems to be a decent amount on each side but again number and adequacy are subjective terms.
The Special Projects Team is a special team that was handpicked by staff members to be involved with discussing certain features etc. for the Bell Shop development. They aren't a part of staff and don't have the full benefits/responsibilities of staff members.
Thank you for the Reese memories (7/9/13-9/27/17)
There have not been any pay cuts because we don't get paid - all Staff are volunteers.
Some of those people left the Staff over a year or year and a half ago and you don't have some people listed who have joined the Staff. For example, we have had a new group of Mods that you don't have listed. We won't need Mods for awhile now. We are already in discussions about another group of Staff where needed in certain jobs.
We aren't running out of Staff, you don't have to worry about that.
Special Projects Team are a group of members put together to work on a specific task. This group was working on the Bell Shop. They are not considered Staff because the group will be over when the task is done.

To add onto what has already been said, the updates on the Noticeboard go from newest to oldest. Whenever an update is added, it's put on the top and separated from the last update by a horizontal rule. In the case of the notice you mentioned, it was created at the beginning of 2014 and each date posted is in 2014.

The number of staff members who have left is misleading because some of them were there for less than a year and came in to replace others on that same list. If you take the difference of the 2 lists (21-6=15, although not all of the staff members you listed are technically staff), that is not the same as the net change in staff members over the course of 2014.
If anything, the staff now is getting more done than ever before. I've been here for 7 years and I remember that a few years ago, I'd send in UT's and not see them attended to for many days. Sometimes, even 3-5 point ones would take a few days. Now, I usually see them taken care of for 24 hours. The devs and researchers are also doing a great job; progress is constantly being made on the bell shop. There are probably a good amount of members (I can't come up with a good guess, but I would say at least 20) who would be willing and capable of joining the staff if needed.
The SPT is a little bit like the researchers, although our job is limited to 1 thing (currently the bell shop), our job is temporary (I believe it will end when the bell shop is released or after a few updates to it, although there may be a new project where a new SPT could be made), and we don't have all of the responsibilities and privileges of the researchers. The goal was to get people who had the viewpoint of regular members who could provide feedback from that angle. If you have questions/comments/concerns about the bell shop, we can address them (although I would think that any researcher/dev would as well and other staff would at least forward the comments on people who deal with the project more directly.
