After the disappointing E3, do you think an AC game will ever come out on Wii U? I sure hope so. I just don't see the point of releasing some stupid amiibo thing instead.
I've heard some opinions that the next AC game will be on the NX!
I don't mind New Leaf style spin-off games. But I don't want AC Wii U because it will just be an upgraded version of NL, and NL is my least favorite Animal Crossing game. Nintendo knows they can't go back to the old style ( which I LIKED ) or else they will lose a lot of fans. So I'm just gonna stick with Wild World for now. I think AC Wii U might come out about 2 or 3 years after the NX comes out, but I doubt it.
I mean HHD looks cool, and part of this is to get money, but do they really HAVE to say this is to broaden the fanbase? I mean, look how many new people New Leaf brought! I have heard lots of people say "NL is my first game" and "I'm new to AC and just got NL". Nintendo, don't hide it. This is to get money, you knew how many people NL brought to the fanbase.

Indeed, NL WAS my 1st game, but I ONLY bought it cause a friend had it, NOT because it looked interesting, then I remembered that my brother had a copy of AC GCN and I haven't played NL as much since. Now I don't play NL at all since I play WW everyday.
It's just stupid how they would say it's to "broaden the fanbase" when a main series game brought like a fourth of what the community is now. The first game I ever saw in the AC series was actually Dobutsu no Mori e+, that's what caused my other friend to get the GC version, and what caused my OTHER friend to buy Wild World, what was caused me to get City Folk. Me and my friends now have all four US-released games, and that one friend has all four games released in the US AND DnMe+. My new(er) friend just got New Leaf as his first AC game.
TBH I barely play City Folk anymore, it just got really dry to me after a while. Right now I'm playing GC, WW, and NL. I'm currently hooked on NL, and even though to some it may seem only good to people new to the series, and when I got it I wasn't new to the series, when I made my NL town it had been... what? A couple months... since I'd last played CF so it was a fresh start.
Plus I don't really like the Wii system in general. It gives me a headache whenever I play it. But the GameCube, man... that's the only TV console I play on that doesn't cause me to get a migraine.

I had seen a bit and played a bit of the 1st American AC years before I got NL, but I was stuck on the working for nook part, so I stopped playing it. A few months after I got NL, I remembered about how there was a copy of AC GCN somewhere in my house. I found it, and now I play it once every few months. I play WW a lot despite being boring without Wifi or holidays, because to me it added a lot and its the best portable AC to me, and the best AC game overall until I start playing CF, which will probably be in a few days.
Like I said before, I don't really want a new AC game anymore unless it IS a spin-off, because I find New Leaf style spin-offs ok, because it isn't the big main series AC game you work on for months, maybe years even. If I want a game like that, I want a game with the things that made AC so special, not a game where you are forced to work on your town everyday. In GCN, WW and CF, it felt more "optional" to have an excellent town. But in NL, you are the mayor with this character I don't like as your partner ( Isabelle ) , and now with public works projects, dream towns, an extremely large debt to pay off then an extremely big house to decorate, and much more, AC feels more stressful then relaxing.
The only reason I don't like CF was that it got really dry after playing every day for four months. I guess the only exciting moments were seeing the snow change into grass and Festivale (conveniently placed on the one Monday I was off from school).
I don't see why people say NL is a chore, my town is one of the crappiest out there and I still get relatively good town ratings. If people want to over decorate it's their choice. I myself can get by with a path and some yellow tulips and I'm fine. It's still optional. I could go a month w/o placing a PWP and my villagers, Isabelle, and other people are still happy as can be.

I can understand why you quit CF. Its your choice, and you got really bored of it after a while. You just don't play it since its not that "new" AC experience to you. Many have complained of CF just being a rehash of WW and having barely anything new. While I disagree, I'll put my final, honest opinion once I play it, before jumping to conclusions.
I'm not sure why I play WW everyday, considering how it has no holidays and its Wi-Fi is gone, maybe its because its the only portable AC besides NL.
We will just have to wait for Nintendo to announce a new AC game, if they are going to announce one at all.
I really don't like NL, to be honest. I just couldn't get into it. One of the biggest things that I didn't like besides being the mayor and the art style was the holidays. To me, they ruined them. Halloween is too easy, and during Toy Day you get no gifts, New Year's doesn't have the nice music from WW and CF, and Bunny Day and Festivale are meh. Plus, they introduced no new holidays, and NL is a big upgrade from other AC games, and yet CF, a rehash of WW, introduced two new holidays plus reintroducing the big holidays from the gamecube game. Sure, AC GCN has plenty of other holidays, but except for the Spring/Fall Games, the exercises, and the one where you activate the lighthouse, all you did was receive a free gift and leave, continuing the day like it was any other day.
This is why I want to get CF out of its case and finally play it. Because there will never ever be another AC game like it, even after AC U does release.
Like I said before, we will just have to wait and see if AC U will be announced.
If Amiibo Festival has Murphy in it (it would most likely not though) I would cry cause they put such a good villager into such a disappointment of a game

For some reason, I feel like AC U won't come out next year either because Satoru Iwata passed away. ): This is going to effect many people for a long time. I was sort of hoping for AC U but now I don't really think it will come out because Nintendo has to recover first.
