It all really depends on your personal idea of "worth".
The New 3DS has ZL/ZR buttons, face tracking for making 3D mode a LOT better, a C-stick, built-in Amiibo support and greater internal power for more system-demanding games (like Xenoblade, for instance). The greater power of the New 3DS also reduces loading times, too!
A lot of these features are backwards-compatible with older titles too (and some were even designed with the New 3DS in mind) - examples of this being Monster Hunter and Super Smash Bros, which for the former can support the C-stick as a Circle Pad Pro, and the latter has specific functionality for Amiibo figures, as well as having the C-stick and ZL/ZR buttons as usable controls.
Do you think it's worth it? As "worth" means something different to every person.
Terraria, Minecraft 1.14.4, Monster Hunter World Iceborne, Deep Rock Galactic, Hades
If you're upgrading from the original 3DS, definitely get it. I say this 'cause I think the upgrade to the 3DS XL was worth it, much less the N3DS.
What I wanna know is if I should upgrade from the 3DSXL I bought last year. I love the idea of face tracking 3D 'cause I really wanna be able to play all my games in 3D all the time. Not to mention the systems look really good. I guess I'll get it later on if any limited edition ones come out that I love (probably Triforce Heroes or a Pokemon one) or if I need to play one of the exclusive games.
