Do you have a career? If so, talk about it here! If you don't talk about your dream job/career. If you want you can talk about how you plan to work (or worked) you way to your dream job.
I want to be a florist. I love flowers and I think arranging bouquets as gifts and arranging floral decorations for weddings, funerals, baby showers, and other big occasions is the perfect thing for me. Who wouldn't want to get paid for doing something they love to do? Flowers make everything blossom!
When we did schedule registration back in May, I put Principles and Elements of Floral Design for one of my classes, because I think it will get me ready for taking it and college, and even my actual career as a florist. I have been told that Mrs. Srp (the teacher for that class) will have the students who want to be a florist take a big test. I hope I can ace it!
I have one more year left of high school. I think 12th grade is the perfect time to take the class(s) that have to do with your attended career.

""I would absolutely love to work in an animal-related field...""
Same here. I would love to do something with working with animals. Not sure what though as my mind tends to change every now and then. If I could make a living off of rescuing animals, I think that would be my ideal job.
Either that or I wish I was better in drawing enough to the point where I could become a concept artist for a video game or something. This will never happen, but I can dream.
I'm studying for a history degree and though I wouldn't mind working in a museum, it'd be very unlikely so I've set my sights to a number of things, including government jobs as an analyst, teacher, copywriting for an ad agency, working for a nonprofit, etc.
I wish I had some clue as to what I'd like to do but it seems that I may never have that! So hopefully next summer I can secure an internship to get an idea.
I've worked in offices, a hotel, stables/livery yards, a zoo, a dog rescue and a retail store.
I'll soon be studying a degree in Zoology so I hope that it could possibly lead to a career in fieldwork, data analysis and even involvement in wildlife documentary filming. Imagine travelling out to the Arctic with a film crew to do some surveying and behaviour observations.
Travelling and helping the environment and its inhabitants are qualities which I think would make a job much more enjoyable and worthwhile for me.
I've always wanted to work with animals. Working in an animal shelter would be a dream job really... but unfortunately, most animal shelters are charities and so it would be voluntary work. It doesn't seem like a high-paying job, if I did manage to find a job in that field. But we'll just see what happens. Being a vet would be cool, but I'm not smart enough, and not prepared to do loads of science at sixth form.
I've chosen Biology, Psychology, Sociology and Geography for my A-Levels, which I will be starting in September. I'm just gonna see what happens.
currently working in IT as a sysadmin in my university's computer science department
in the future i want to work in software development, mostly for mobile or web content. i also think game design is an interesting prospect, but learning app development is a broader set of skills that can encompass that
I'm currently majoring in cell and molecular biology with the intentions of pre-genetics. My minor's in French, though. I'm entering uni with like 9 credits in French already so I decided to just go ahead and finish the minor out lol. don't know what I'm going to do with that minor but I figure foreign language is useful. I plan on being a geneticist or a genetic counselor--it depends if I decide to work more in a research setting or work with patients in a hospital setting. who knows though, I'm only a freshman in college. things will probably change! lol

hi i'm kirsten and i'm a magical gorl
I'm going to be majoring in Biochemistry in a pre-pharmacy program. I plan on (plus it IS my dream job) becoming a pharmacist. I don't know where yet. I mean there are plenty of options with hospitals, government, research etc. but at the moment, I like retail better. I'll have to take more time to learn about the profession and do internships/shadowing in order to figure out where to go though.

Thank you for the Reese memories (7/9/13-9/27/17)
Most likely, I'm going to major in supply chain management. That means that for a few years after college, I will be working as some sort of supervisor/manager at a store/warehouse/manufacturing facility. After that, I'll probably move up into an actual supply chain management position, a few years after that a management position within that supply chain, and then hopefully move up through the ranks in those positions.
It is kind of hard to explain because supply chain management has so many different aspects that seem similar but are vastly different. Basically, you start out managing one tiny part of it, then get a non-management job that covers a few parts (such as purchasing, transportation, etc.), then get a management version of that same thing, then move up to a logistics related position that covers the entire supply chain.

Sorry, I don't accept random FCRs.
I'm hopefully starting my Geography degree in September (if I get the grades!) and would to like to become a seismologist, preventing the destruction an earthquake causes by using highly advanced warning systems to detect future tremors. At the moment, locals only receive a few seconds (up to a minute) warning about earthquakes, but hopefully with better technology, this time limit could be increased.
I've wanted to become a doctor, a surgeon, ever since I was a little boy. That's why, after I finished secondary school, I studied Biomedical Sciences for two years with my mind set on moving into Medicine. However, because of personal circumstances (I was moving to a different country so I could live with my wife) I decided to stop studying and went to work fulltime as an administrator in a hospital.
After that, I started a job in Customer Service (Business to Consumer) and I did that for two years and eight months. I decided that the work environment I was in wasn't the best for me, and I'm currently employed in Customer Service (Business to Business) for a leading manufacturer of laminates. I'm enjoying it.
My current dream job, though, is to run my own guest house. I have a weakness for travel and tourism and have often thought about taking a course at college, but that would mean not being able to work for several years which is not financially viable for me. It'd be great if I could eventually be part of that industry, though!

For another job/career, I would love is to open up my own pastry shop. I would sell cookies, donuts, cupcakes, cakes, muffins, and other sweets related to the ones that I listed. I would have seasonal sweets and maybe a café and some candy/gumball machines to help my customers wait for their order to be ready.
I would probably open up close to where I live. I live in a very small town, so I'd probably open it up in a bigger town, and perhaps move there. I think Sweetie Shop is a cute name for a pastry shop!
And this isn't a restaurant I'm talking about. You order boxes of pastries to take home. I plan to have different sized boxes (e.g. small=12 cupcakes, medium=18 cupcakes, large=24 cupcakes). <3

If I could have any job I would be the director of a prestigious university wind ensemble and would be giving private percussion lessons on the side to high school students. I would love to play in a symphony on the side as well.

My dream job is to be a clinical psychologist and help people who are struggling with their mental health and/or relationships/friendships with the people around them. I want to help others become better. Right now, I'm in school attempting to accomplish that dream by acquiring my bachelor's in psychology. I'll eventually get my masters, and then finally my PsyD.
I couldn't do anything with medical because I just get really grossed about it idk why I would probably throw up on the person's body
I (will) work in Technical Support with a local company that does a bunch of computer stuff. Have gotten my computer fixed multiple times there so I know them really well, and they are very nice people. Applied over the summer and got the job *yes*.
