I have taken a 2 yr break from the game...and excited to come back...and I can't travel.  I'm really sad about this.

If you are talking about online, that was discontinued a year ago.

The company actually went defunct before the wifi ended. Nintendo had no choice.

Well that's sad. I was coming on here to see if there were any treeless towns I could visit. I'm too nervous to chop all of mine down.

I'm so sorry that I was being mad about the Wi-Fi discontinuation. You can still play Animal Crossing: City Folk offline. I will never be mad about this Wi-Fi discontinuation ever again.

wow ok so no one's gonna bring up altwfc or wiimmfi? alright guess i'll have to be that guy. ahem...

you can use altwfc or wiimmfi to play city folk and a buncha other wii and ds games online on an alternate server. since we're not allowed to discuss how to install either one since it's basically hacking, you're gonna have to look into it yourself. i personally prefer wiimmfi btw.
