Recently, my bells have been expiring too quickly. I opened a thread and at the bottom (I literally just loaded the thread, I always check top and bottom for bell ads before reading the thread) and I clicked a bell ad and it told me it had expired. Has anyone else noticed this, or got a fix for me? so for today I've missed 2,700 bells
This has been happening to me nonstop for the past few months actually. I'm on mobile and I would like a solution as well!
I'll load up a page, see "10,000 bells" (or whatever else, it's just super annoying when it is the 10,000 bells ad), click it, and as soon as it opens it says its already expired. I've actually stopped clicking them altogether now. But ocassionally I try again just to see if maybe it has been fixed. Nope.
So seeing as the Bell Shop is apparently opening this summer, can we expect a fix for this before then? I've missed out on so many bells and nothing I do fixes this issue. It's super annoying to know that I've potentially missed out on hundreds of thousands of bells (this has been going on for many, many months for me - at least 5 or 6 - and I'm on every day) and while every one else gets to collect them to spend at the shop, myself and others are left with nothing except what we had before this issue started. I really wish there were some kind of reimbursement for people who have this issue, but I know that is getting a little too complicated. Seeing as bells will be the currency though, shouldn't this be a top priority? It's not really fair.
I know you all have lives outside of ACC, you're volunteers, etc, but I just want to make sure this is still being worked on and that we will have a fix soon! It's been a month and a half since the last update on this issue so I'm just wondering where we stand now? Please and thanks!
As we can all imagine, the staff are currently working on a lot. I'm pretty positive it will be fixed before the bell shop is opened, have faith! Problems occur and the staff work on it as fast as they can.
I have no issue with it taking as long as it does, actually. I am more than aware that they are working their butts off behind the scenes when they can, as I stated. I just would have liked an update from a developer with a real answer as to whether or not it would be fixed before the bell shop, or whether it has been pushed back to fix some time later. Thanks for the positive vibes though.
Edit: so with that being said, when a developer does have an answer to that I would appreciate a little info when possible! Please and thank you! c;
Don't worry, Hailey! I certainly understand that you expect a person with a badge to answer your question. After all, an actual Developer does have the expertise of ACC and the knowledge of its coding and this particular issue.

So I know I haven't done anything new, but the last two bell ads I bothered to click went through!! Yay!! Thanks so much to whoever was working on the fix! I think it might be working now! If you did nothing yet, then I really have no clue why it's suddenly fixed, but thank you anyway!! If it starts happening again I'll post here, but for now it seems fine.
We did deploy a fix for the expiring bells, but that was some time ago, so it was evidently ineffectual. I am sorry to say that I have no idea why the early expiry was happening, or why it has suddenly started working again.
I would look at the error log to see whether there was any further information I could give you, but unfortunately, it seems to have broken.
