Recently I've been getting really tired of Splatoon. Tower Defense is esentially a mode where everyone just comes to one point and shoots each other- little to no strategy- just mayhem.

I do on occasion play from time-to-time now but not consistently. A little disappointed that they are releasing the content 'gradually' as it would have been more fun to have it all at once (I know that some of you like that idea).  

Turf War is honestly my favorite mode because it is so simple and has a lot of replay value. What is your favorite mode?

I am not high enough level to do Ranked or Tower Control(I agree Tower seems chaotic from YT videos I've watched) however Turf War seems super awesome even if you are a level 20.

I wish they would raise the level cap. I have a feeling once I get there I won't play the game as much.

Team Dog won the NA Splatfest. Here are the end results:

Popularity - Cats: 38% | Dogs: 62%
Win Rate - Cats: 51% | Dogs: 49%

I'm really surprised at how close the winrate ended up considering how terrible some of my teammates were. I ended up carrying my teams through most of the event.

I also attained the highest rank last night, so I'll go ahead and take those Super Sea Snails now. :^)

The SplatFest was cool! I really enjoyed the night mode. The matchmaking was annoying though, I guess because there were more dogs than cats.

I enjoyed the Splatfest, however I felt with being with Team Cats, all of my teammates constantly sucked. I was trying so hard, and I just could not win at all.

I guess this wasn't isolated to Team Dog. Lol. I had teammates who completely dropped the ball in the most critical of moments.

In one particular match, our team was getting spawn locked so I attempted to push them back. I took out three of them and went around a side area to take out the last, but someone spawned on him just as I took him out and I ended up dying. The teammate that was directly behind me walked right past the guy and ended up getting himself killed. We lost that match by .1%.

^LOL I thought Team Dog had all of the good players!

Urchin Underpass has become my most hated map. The grates on the sides of spawn are deadly if the other team gets control. So many times my team has fallen in ability, other team camps and there's no way out of it.

Have any of you taken preference to the Splatterscope? I was killed today so many times with it that I am debating if it is worth a shot.(no pun intended) I like the sub and special, but I am not good at playing sniper, but most people I see don't seem to be using it that way.

I use the Kelp Splatterscope for splat zones.  The sprinkler takes the zone and I take out foes.

Slightly jealous of all the Splatfest posts...I wish I was able to attend! I was up in the mountains the entire weekend and only got home now.

I'm not surprised dogs won, the dog lovers posts seemed to be allll over Miiverse.

I honestly hope the next Splatfest will be Rock vs. Pop music. Europe already got the better Splatfest Versus.


Anyways, Splatfest sounds like fun. I'm sad that I missed it, but not too bummed out considering there are more to be had. I hope they at least are like once a month at the least.


The main reason I don't like that I missed Splatfest was because all the maps are nighttime and the music is changed. I love the sunny maps and normal music, but it would've been nice to have been at an event where everything changed.

Ah well. I hope this week they add a new map to the roster....it's been almost 2 weeks I think.

Upgraded a ski hat that had Tenacity as a main ability and the first two level ups both gave me Quick Respawn.

Assuming this last level up doesn't give me something completely useless, this could be a good piece of equipment for ranked.

If you have a piece of gear that has 2 abilities that are Defense Shield (whatever it's called), does that mean it'll stack or no?

They will stack, but you get diminishing returns. I don't really mind because quite a few abilities barely even make a difference.

Two new weapons out tonight.

The Sploosh-o-matic and the .96 Gal Deco.


Excited for the Sploosh-o-matic. I don't particularly fancy the Gal Deco weapons but I never quite gave them a chance. I plan on trying out every single weapon in multiplayer though.

^What type of weapon is the Sploosh-o-matic? Sounds pretty intense to me.

I have one of the Gal Deco weapons, and it's okay. I usually test them first to see if they fit my gameplay style. Compared to other weapons I have it's alright.

^ It's an automatic weapon (can't really describe what it exactly is) but it's similar to the Splash-o-matic and Aerospray in that it fires rapidly.

I tested it out and LOVE it... it has decent range but what's really great about it is how quickly ink is sprayed all over the map.


It also comes with the Killer Wail special and the (correct me if I'm wrong), that Ink Wall thing.

New American Splatfest confirmed... 12am July 17th - 12am July 18th.

Roller Coasters vs. Water Slides.

I'm super excited!

I won't go on water slides, but I work at a park with roller coasters and I hate my management, so screw coasters. I'm voting water slides.

That'll be fun! I hate roller coasters, Team Water Slides it is!

The Moray Towers map releases tomorrow.

New map really? That one looked really challenging. Maybe I'm wrong however.

Team roller coasters as well! Although I love water slides too, roller coasters are more thrilling and adrenaline-pumping and I love that feeling.

The new map is pretty cool. I hope we get more vertical maps like this one. It's very different.

I like how all of the new maps always make me think differently. This one for sure requires a different sort of strategy!

Playing on the new map just now and I decide to jump down from my spawn and throw out a Seeker. I watch it travel down each "floor" and land right on an enemy as he climbs up the wall from the middle area. Possibly the funniest thing I've seen in this game so far.
