I'm FINALLY getting a Switch for Christmas! And I plan on picking up Splatoon 2. So excited to finally play it

Hooray! After you get it we should totally get an ACC session going in a private lobby. I've never had an 8-player room before

Hubby surprised me with Nintendo Switch for Christmas! Guess what game I got! I've been playing for 2 hours roughly and I'm already level 7. Woot woot.

By the way, does anyone know when the Salmon Run is in rotation? I really want to play it ASAP!

I played a level in story mode for Splatoon 2 and played a match of turf war! So far I'm really enjoying it.

Don't know if I'll make it to Salmon Run in time tonight as I'm playing Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 on and off today!

Me either, I've been playing both Splatoon 2 and Mario on my Switch handheld and I'm so speechless of how beautiful the game looks on it?! I honestly didn't think it'd look that good but it holds up really well. I think I made it until level 32 or 33, I can't quite remember.

From the maps I've played so far, most aren't quite standing out from another IMO (though I haven't played much yet), but from what I've played, I really like the Snapper Canal map and the Humpback Pumptrack (lol I can't remember the exact name), though I'm really excited to play the museum one and the ship one!

The ship is a fun stage. I like most of the stages in this game, but I still get disoriented in Kelp Dome.

@ accfluvr165 I agree the maps are so much better! Also the weapon choices are excellent as well. I got to play a Salmon Run last night and thought that it was so awesome! I'm level 10 right now, almost level 11.

E: Had fun playing! I always feel like I'm intruding joining "new" players, though, due to how the matchmaking works. Like.... I tried to teach a Roller a lesson (I say this literally) by standing in place and shooting towards him, but he didn't learn and uh... Tried to roll me down. Three times. And he died. Three times. I'm not trying to bully you please learn to stop this lol.

I tried using weapons I don't know, but 3v4's kept happening so it didn't even matter. So many DC's. :c




Y'all, I love the Squeezer so much. My ZR button weeps, but I love the choice of fire. Just wish it had Bubble Wand. I love Bubbles so much. Stack Special Power Up and UNLEASH THE GIANT BUBBLESSSS

That's one thing I'm looking forward to in the sequel, is all the new weapons and specials! And subs for that matter lol. I can't tell you how many times I've died from those auto bombs. Though that is mostly due to the fact that they are so tiny and seem to blend in to the chaotic environment.

The matchmaking can certainly go bonkers sometimes. When I was around level 4, I got put into a group of people all around my level but somehow they also dropped in a level 96 player I'm more surprised someone even reached that high of a level. I mean, didn't that level cap update drop like maybe a few weeks ago?

I'm only level 8 so I haven't been able to play ranked mode yet, though I've never heard of Clam Blitz before. I honestly can't believe I used to think Splatoon 2 didn't have enough new content from its predecessor.

^ i'd actually gotten a new copy of the game for myself for Christmas but i did have the game since release date on my dad's switch and played that a lot.
