Anyone play Runescape?

I play both rs3 and old school.
Still trying to get used to rs3 though.

I play Old School. I'm going for a quest point cape.

I actively play Rs3 Can't be bothered with old school. Tried it and got bored pretty fast.

Comp'd on Rs3 tho.

I like Old School because 07 was around the period where I was most active. It feels more relaxed than RS3 and it's just more familiar to me.

That's exactly how I feel 07 is. A nostalgiafest, nothing more. And considering I started in 08, there's nothing nostalgic about it for me.

I played a lot back in '06-'08... Those were the days. Was going to log in just for old time's sake but once they asked me to download it I thought nah. Some things are better left untouched. (Actually I just didn't feel like installing anything tbh)

You don't *have* to install anything if you aren't playing on Chrome. Runescape is still very much a browser-based game and is supported in any browser than can play java. Chrome can't do Java any more, so if you try to play it in chrome it default-asks you to download the client.

You're totally right. I thought I had Java installed on my laptop, but it wasn't... So there's the culprit. I'm on my older computer playing Old School right now. Back to tutorial island, babes

I couldn't get into old school. I got bored after an hour and also frustrated with how pathetic your run energy is in old school.

Train Agility and get the graceful outfit. It boosts your restore rate.

Welcome to OS Kai! I can smith you armour sets up to mithril and make some range armour/weapons/ammo if you need anything.

I have no idea what a graceful outfit is nor do I have an OS account with membership. I'll stick to RS3

As I say, it's an outfit that boosts your run restore rate. It's a bit of a grind to get but it's worth it. I think it's definitely one of the first targets an OS player should have.

I actually looked it up after posting that because I was curious about it. Considering I'm already well passed Comp and on the road to Trim in RS3, I doubt I'd mind the grind - I actually kind of like agility, too. If I ever do get into OS, that'll be one of my first goals, definitely.

If you're dedicated enough it should only take a few days.

I'd never max on OS just because of RuneCrafting. I've done 300 hour grinds before, but for *ONE* skill? Please, no. I've never liked altar running D=

Tell me about it man. I need 50 for my QP cape goal and I think 56 or 58 for the Lumbridge tasks. 50 is only like 100k experience and I have no motivation to try it at the moment.

In contrast I have two RS3 accounts with 99 Runecrafting

RC in RS3 is still stupidly slow but at least it's afkable now

It's slow but still a lot faster than OS. I've been really spoiled by Runespan and Ivy and I can't be bothered 99ing those skills for a third time on the version of the game that doesn't have such good AFK methods.

I might play RS3 from time to time. It'll be from scratch because I don't feel like resubbing one of my old mains and I'd rather use the account I've been using for Old School.

What's the max Xp/hr on OS?

I'm not sure but I think it's like 30-50k an hour. I just know it's really slow.

Tho to be honest, that's a lot faster than when I got 99 slayer Pre-Eoc. Struggling to get 100k a day and stuff. Osrs slayer is probably slower.

There's an elite clue in OS that requires 65 slayer. I have an elite clue atm and I hope I don't get that one.

It isn't helped by my task being trolls. They don't seem to give very much exp/hour.

I also spent about 2 hours yesterday trying to upgrade my bronze defender. I can see my road to dragon being very painful
