So twice in 2 months that I had trades set up with 2 different people through PM after replying to their posts. Once we agreed on a price, both of them (the sellers) just decided to go poof. They both came back about a month or so later, and their messages totally sounded like they didn't think it was a big deal at all leaving someone waiting for that long. Now I've got a 3rd possible ditcher, who's gone AWOL for almost 3 weeks since we've agreed on a deal.
I understand that things happen to people in real life, and that's cool, but wasn't it common courtesy to at least shoot the person you're trading with a text, just to inform him/her that you wanted to put the trade on hold? And from the excuses I got, it wasn't like they were so busy (or hospitalised, or imprisoned etc) to the point that they weren't even able to send out a short message either. The exchanges we had were so short that, if they had time to send a friend a short message, they would've had time to message me. The whole "sorry I have been busy lol" thing just wasn't that convincing to me.
Did it happen to some of you people too? Or was it just me?
This has happened several times to me. Now if I do not get a response within a day or two, I withdraw my offer and make a mental note of the user so I don't deal with them again.

If winning isn't important. Then what's the point of keeping score?

Yes it happened to me a couple of times. Kept items in my side town for months and no answer. So I send a message that I had to give them away. I needed to free up space in my locker for moving items for my towns.
For a friend I don't mind holding on to items. One of my friends has a lot of things going on in her life.
The things that bugs me is when another poster comes in a offers the item for free. That poster back out of the deal and than told the next poster in line to drop the price. Think that was rude.
I always wait till the item gets sold before contacting another person that didn't get it. It usually someone that is very disappointed and really wanted it. The lovely phone was one of the items and I gave it to them for free.
I've been ditched on both sides, both selling and buying. It's frustrating. I usually hold for a week when selling because I get busy and I know that life can get in the way of wifi-ing. If there's been no contact and the user has been inactive on the site, it goes back up for sale. If I'm buying, I only wait a day or two unless we have a specific date set up.
It's unfortunate, but I've had it happen with both kids and GG. Actually, I've had more GG be totally unreliable and not get back in contact with me.

Who would win in a fight, Indiana Jones or Han Solo?
Come to think of it, I think my problem is that I take being responsible for granted. Waaay granted. I honestly don't care if I don't get whatever pixel crack I was trading for, but I just can't believe people in this world, well at least some of them, could actually be that flaky (assuming we weren't all ditched by the same person).
Oh well. I guess I just need to find some awesome people to play with to restore that little bit of faith I lost in humanity.
If I ever ditch someone it will be by accident (read: brain fart!) and I will try to make it right if/when I find out about it.
(I am so forgetful that it's truly embarrassing and it's only getting worse as I get older.) *hides in shame*

Does GG mean Gaming Geezer? No? Oh .... well, oops. My bad.

years ago i would feel sad if the poopers didnt complete a deal by not showing up. Right now I have a new bulk buyer who has about 10 minutes before i call off the deal.
I think 80% of the people are under 25 and have been plugged in their whole life so the attention span (oh I just saw a pretty bird) is short and it's just another game in a long list of games not to mention the long list of formats ie: iPhone, Wii, WiiU, Xbox 360 ect. Other life factors like school, jobs, parents and friends make it hard to come back to a forgotten deal. The people I know, in real time that play the game, play whenever they can for pure enjoyment and stress relief or they play for 10 minutes cuz I bugged them to. They don't like working for animals and would rather play Pokemon. I am polite and understanding and know when to post NVM, remove myself from the thread and move on. What gets me are the stealers.......
