I usually play AC when my daughter or husband is watching TV (I listen to TV more than I watch). So as a courtesy, I play AC with the sound off, most of the time. I do crank it when I've spotted a shark though. How about you?

I usually keep it off until I cast my fishing pole, set the hook and right back off.

I do a little bit of both. I prefer sound on but when I am around others I keep it off.

I generally play while my DP is also gaming on the PS4.  So I keep the sound up

I normally play with the sound on. However, if there is a mole cricket nearby, I turn the volume all the way down because I can't stand the noise they make.

yeah while im with my girl ill keep it on low or rarely off.. if its up to high shell notice the foot steps and that bothers her... but i turn it up for KK slider and if im alone or my girls playing one of her games lol.. u have to have alittle sound while playing.. cant be dead silent lol

I superglued my volume slider to be on permanently because I'm left-handed and the stylus always turned the sound down or off while I played. But I keep a jack cut off from a faulty set of buds in case I need the sound off in case I want to listen to music while I play.

Sound on always!  In fact, and I know this is sad, I'm sitting at my desk at work listening to the YouTube videos of the hourly music. 5pm is my absolute favorite.

I listen to 2 am myself. You wanna know sad? One day I decided to look up 8 am music for the gamecube version and when I found it, I was so flooded with nostaligia that I got a little teary-eyed.

I'll have to check out 2am. I never played the gamecube version, but you've inspired me to lookup the ACWW music now, since my boss is out today. I found a site yesterday that has mp3 files of all the hourly tunes including the rainy and snowy versions.

Mostly off but I turn it up when I cast my fishing line. I have missed a few bugs because I play sound off and I need to figure that out someday.

actually if you like listening to the hourly music there's a google chrome extenuation that plays it and changes it every hour

I set my volume on low.  There are certain times (late night - early morning) I like turning up the volume and listening to the music.

Keeping the volume up also lets me know if a balloon is floating near by.  

I set mine on, and if need be, I use head phones. It's amazing how much more you can hear with the head phones!

On when I'm alone, or when I'm fishing.
The sound effects add a lot to the game, it alerts you to certain bugs and balloons being near.. It's really quite useful.
