I'm kind of tempted to get into Sims 4 just for the building but I want more expansions/stuff packs to do so. I love building and sims 4 has no customization but at the same time, it's way more free with object placement. It's much easier to do decor and I feel like the objects are easier for sims to get to in the Sims 4 so more decor is possible and there isn't as much fiddling. But at the same time it aggravates me that there is no CAST but again, it does make builds pretty fast.

I'm probably going to buy a couple expansions or game packs once they go on sale again which I tend to see Origin do a few times a year. Because I'm not paying EA's full prices for already lack luster content.

Yeah, that's what my issues with it too. Sims 4 AI are much smarter, and can squeeze through tight spaces that they couldn't otherwise reach in the previous games. Multitasking is great, however sometimes it takes your Sims 2 hours to eat a meal if they are talking or drinking something else. Also, I love the Foodie trait, but I'd advise against using it. It makes your Sims take 2 hours to eat ALWAYS. Because they always take pictures of their food and stare off into space in between bites. It drives me insane sometimes.

But yeah, I'd definitely say to wait until they do another sale.

Well...I have now experienced all the festivals except GeekCon. All of them are incredibly lacking and get boring REAL fast, but the scenery is a nice change and it looks beautiful at night. It's a good hangout spot at the very least. The Romance festival was pretty bad, almost as bad as the Humor and Hijinks festival. But really, the major high point for me was how beautiful the festivals look like. The Romance and Spice festival are definitely the most beautiful of them all. I'll have to take pictures of the apartment later. I've done a lot of customization and remodeling and it's looking SO much nicer.

That being said, the social media career is nice but it's SO easy to gain followers and get promotions. There are several options for how to gain followers:
- Post Social Media status (ALWAYS guarantees 15-25 followers)
- Share jokes on social media (either you get no followers or you get 200+)
- Share image (Basically same as share jokes, except you get over 1,000 sometimes)
- Livestream (From what I've gathered, if you livestream for 30 Sim minutes, you get 1,200 followers. super easy!)

THE SIMS 4 TODDLERS ARE HERE!

I literally just saw this pop up and I'm freaking out. IMO, I hate and love toddlers but it's still a must have feature in the game, so I'm super happy. best of all it's FREE

I bet the people who wanted toddlers so badly, fainted at the livestream that occurred announcing toddlers lol

Now everyone who wanted toddlers will probably complain about weather until it is introduced.

If I were EA I would tread lightly on implementing features fans want, because the fans of the game are super demanding. The fans will walk all over EA and expect perfection from them.

It is nice EA gave the Sims Community something they all wanted from the beginning, but I doubt fans will leave it be and let EA do their thing from this point forward.

I am actually surprised it is free. This is unlike Maxis and EA to do this, since this is very new PR... I am not quite sure how to feel or react 0.0

Haven't had much of a chance to play it but no worries I was going to buy it unless you absolutely hated it or found nothing great about it!

BUT OMG TODDLERS? So many people will be happy. It wasn't a huge thing for me but I'm glad it's there now. How have the toddlers been?

That's my problem with this whole thing. Honestly, I get it, how impatient you can get waiting for your favorite expansion pack to be released. But if I learned anything from the past 2 years, I've realized how the Sims community can be one of the most toxic communities out there. At least in terms of complaining and demanding things, I can't think of a game more people complained about than the Sims (4) franchise. Except maybe No Man's Sky lol.

With that being said, I have to admit, I do "complain" about the game quite a lot, but not about seasons or pets or whatnot. Of course those packs will make the game so much more fulfilling, but my main gripe is the lack of content Sims 4 has. It just...feels different. Maybe not so much lack of content, but lack of depth and with the addition of loading screens and taking out a lot of customization features just is not acceptable for the franchise 4 iterations in. If I have any high praises, it seems to be for the amazing CAS, gender options, and just from the trailer, the toddlers look amazing.

Hailey - I haven't gotten around to the toddlers yet sadly, but it's made me jumpstart my Sims 4 CL save and I currently moved my household to a bigger apartment that'll have enough room for the toddlers. Honestly though they look ADORABLE. Every Sims game I love and hate the kids. In Sims 2, toddlers were basically Satan. In Sims 3, babies weren't too bad but the toddlers were ugly and annoying. In Sims 4, I hate the babies because they're chained to their beds. But the toddlers just look ADORABLE.

While I've been decorating my City Living apartment, I saw some of the new toddler furniture like the high chairs and it's so freaking cute. I'm probably gonna turn aging off just to play with them for a long long time.

There's a Vampires game pack releasing on the 24th this month. Ehhh, I'm glad they're returning and they sound interesting, but I might wait on that a bit.

There's also a bowling stuff pack coming out probably in March or so. That's probably the first stuff pack I'm actually looking forward to.


Finally, from the toddler update, the developers also added in...variations of teeth? I'm not really sure what they mean by that but in the patch notes there was a listing of braces, so that's cool.

We have gotten SO much Sims news in the past week!

Just took a look at the trailer for toddlers and you're right they're so cute! Did I see them hug each other? Omg!!

Also PETS SOON? Yes omg pls. Do you guys think they'll stick with just cats and dogs?

The toddlers are better than any previous toddlers and I love them and I think I might actually play this game again.

Pets would be AWESOME! Especially if they're free. I feel as if pets, and seasons should be free. They should just be included in the base.

I'm now playing the Sims 4 again because of toddlers, hands down the best in the series. I'm also looking forward to Vampires - they also look much better than 3 & 4!

I wish pets were free but I'm sure they rake in a ton of dough by charging for them because people love it so much so I can't blame them. Still haven't got a chance to play with the city or the toddlers but looking forward to it (:

Only issue I come across is the fact that they have no story progression, if that's what I'm thinking of. There are no new families, no new babies being born, etc, right? It sucks because the kids have no other kids to play with unless you create them, and I don't have the time or desire to create households of children just to satisfy that. If I'm wrong please let me know cuz that's one of the things that discourages me from playing. Or if there is a reliable mod that fixes that.

I basically completely switched over to TS4 just for toddlers. I like families, that's all I play basically. So this addition really sold the game for me. That and the fact that I need cc but I can't take TS3 lag or routing. I feel like the whole open world thing doesn't really matter to my play style. I never liked leaving home in TS3 so TS4 doesn't change anything really. It does annoy me that I can't get some things to match in TS4 but really it's kind of realism because in real life a lot of times you can't get your kitchen table to match your kitchen cabinets exactly.

So... did anyone get that one bowling stuff pack? I got it today but I haven't really used it. I only got it to make a speedbuild of a bowling alley and that's that. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it.

I'm not sure whether to get it or not.

Having bowling would be nice, but it seems like it's not worth 10 dollars. They could have put this in University.

Not to mention I'm not sure if it'll make me play Sims 4 a lot more again or if it'll only interest me for 30 minutes.

The Sims 4 Parenthood game pack has finally been revealed!

What are everyone's opinions on it?

Personally I cannot wait, I think that will be THE pack that will bring me back to Sims 4.
The new interactions and school projects for the kids look amazing! The only issue I have with it is it looks like the teenagers are kinda left out again. It looks like they have maybe a couple new interactions but this pack seems to aim more towards kids/toddlers, moreso excluding teenagers stuff, which disappoints me because I absolutely hate teens in Sims 4 (I can't tell them apart from adults due to height similarities) which is a shame since I loved teenagers in Sims 3 Generations.

Did anyone end up getting that new pack then? I won't be spending the money until it goes on a decent sale (so if y'all can let me know when it's on sale it would be appreciated). Is it good? Better than expected? Disappointing?

Parenthood is honestly the best pack that has come out right now. It just completes the game. It depends on what your play style is though, if you play with a bunch of families then it's a necessity. If not, it's skippable. But I'm pretty sure the majority of sims players play with families or at least have a child in the household. I have had many regrets buying some of the other packs, but this, this is perfect.

I actually recently JUST got around to playing with toddlers for the first time. I only played for an hour but it was pretty fun!! I think this new gamepack looks like it will add to the fun so I'm glad you love it. I'm still going to wait for a sale though ;P unless it takes months and months and months... Then I may have to cave

Side note, does anyone know if stuff packs have ever gone on sale? They're usually excluded right?

I believe they have never gone on sale as far as I know.

YES, Parenthood is SO worth it. It's definitely the best game pack, even the best pack out of all S4 stuff/game/expansion packs that have released IMO.


I haven't played much of it yet, but I love the objects and CAS items too.



As for stuff packs, those generally don't go on sale. Sometimes you will see them for 2 dollars off maximum on Amazon but that has only happened once so far, as far as I can remember.

Aw, figures. Okay. What do you guys think of the fitness pack? I haven't bought any stuff packs so far because I don't care to spend $10 on what is in reality like 1 cool item and a few things here and there. But I started rock climbing in January and now this new pack is tempting haha

The rock climbing wall is about the only interesting thing in the pack for me.

I have honestly been pretty "meh" about all the stuff packs though. What once used to excite me about new Sims 4 content has been completely drained thanks to EA releasing these packs left and right.

I mean, I know they are actually replacing the Sims 3 store content and it's cheaper, and that's GREAT. But it's still $10. It hasn't even been a month yet since Parenthood released and they already announced something else! Idk man Bowling Stuff should've gotten me excited since I LOVE bowling in TS2, but when it released, I just didn't care anymore.


My major issue that I don't think will ever get fixed is how easy the game is. It's way too easy to excel at your job and gain promotions. Dine Out is great because it makes running a restaurant somewhat of a challenge, but it's frustrating considering of all the multitasking issues the Sims run into. My employees are constantly on their phones and the food is cooked and ready to be served, but the servers care more about their phones and cleaning up dishes than actually serving people.

And they have a high level skills and are satisfied with their job. But if you try to yell at them to do their jobs, being on their phone for some reason isn't considered a "bad thing" while working and they end up quitting their job because they think you are being unfair to them.

I think I only have 2 stuff packs. I have Perfect Patio and Cool Kitchen. I might have one more but I can't quite remember. I really want the Kids Stuff one though!
