Is it worth it to restart your town and keep restart until you have your best villager in the town?

(P.S I haven't don't a lot of stuff in my town).

Whenever I restart a town and I have done it multiple times, I always go for the layout of the town as opposed to the villagers. I figure that villagers come and go whether theyre my favorites or not. I usually take the time and get a layout I like alot..if I spend time in the town and I dont like it as much and I dont have alot of stuff in my house and things in town arent really completed I start a new town. Look for a terrific and unusual layout with houses I like the look of. Im going to spend alot of time there and I want it to be a place I wont mind looking at. My favorite villager will move in eventually and leave. But my town that I searched for so long will still be there for when they all return again.

If you just started your town, go ahead.

If you have had your town for two months and have grown attached to it...

Like "live laugh love" or "it's fall y'all" or something.

I did that to get Astrid, so I think so.  I wasn't too far in my previous town (despite that Robin and I were pretty close), but I barely made any process on that town, so I really didn't lose much.  To me, Animal Crossing isn't the same when a villager you love is not in your town.

It's good to do it when you haven't made much progress.

I restart to get the layout I want. If I get some villagers I like that's great otheriwise I can try to get who I want. It's hard to do that in City Folk though.

I agree with everyone else. And to add to what someone else said about villagers.....If I end up getting the layout I want, AND I get a few of my favorite villagers, I feel like the villagers I like are a bonus...

If you aren't happy with your town, by all means restart. I used to do that too. getting a favorite villager was always a bonus, but it wasn't always the reason I kept a town. The layout was more important to me. Since you could let the ones you don't care for leave, there is always the chance that your favorite will move in eventually especially if you really like the layout of your town.
