"...Well, yeah, point taken. Still, having to read an hour's worth of stuff to get up to speed is better than, say, reading a full year's worth."

"Fair enough." Allison nodded in agreement. "You want me to hang around still? I'm kind of interested in what it says, but it seems kind of personal."

"...Well, I haven't gotten into fights with you or anything, have I?"

"Not that I remember."

"Then I probably don't have anything in here against you, and if I did... well, you can find some salt to take it up with."

"Sounds fair." Allison quickly located two chairs and pulled them up to the desk where she quickly made herself at home with her feet propped up on the desk.

"...Right, then. Let's see about finding out how my life's gone so far, yeah?"

Kyle groaned as he took a seat by the practice grounds. It was literally the only time since his conversation with Allison that he'd bothered to slow down from a brisk jog, and his legs absolutely hated him for it. Trying to block out the dull ache, he glanced around for some sign of her, a bit disappointed when he found none. Maybe I got the time wrong...

"Who knows, maybe you're rich and famous or something." The redheaded girl joked and glanced down at her phone. "(Crap)! Is that the time?" She quickly jumped out of the chair. "Sorry to rush off, I have a fencing lesson to set up for. Is it okay if I catch up with you later?"

"Yeah, fine. Totally fine." She grinned. "Probably better that way, anyhow. I'll probably be more fun to talk to when I have a story or two to tell."

"Okay, see you later!" Allison held up a hand in farewell before waking briskly out if the cabin. She goofed over to her own cabin to luck up her sword before heading over to the practice grounds. She immediately spotted Kyle and headed over to him.

"Sorry I'm late. Or are you just early?"

"Good question. I honestly don't know." He glanced down at his watch. "Ask one of your students."

(Ugh.. my Kindle keyboard sucks)

"Guess it doesn't really matter if they're not even here yet." Allison said and put stuck her sword in the ground. She quickly pulled several dummies into the main area before the students started arriving. Most of the campers were about 12 years old and had varied in levels of excitement shown on their faces.

"Hey, shrimps! Come on over." She called to them. "I'm Allison, your fencing instructor for the day, as I'm sure you know. This is my lovely assistant Kyle, say hi Kyle."

"Hi Kyle." He quipped, grinning like the joke had not been worn out and used in excess.

"Nice. Very original. Anyways, were gonna start off by giving a fencing example, then we'll break up into groups."

Kyle nodded, stood, and produced a wooden practice sword. "Whenever you're ready, m'lady." He said with a grin.

"Wood? Come on, Kyle. Let's give them a real fight." Allison grinned.

"You sure?" He shrugged and tossed the practice sword over his shoulder. "All right. Your funeral."

"We'll see, won't we?" Allison grinned and twirled her sword in her hand.

Kyle casually unsheathed his sword, keeping a relaxed, almost casual stance. "Any Apollo kids in the house?"

A small girl in the front raised her hand while a couple boys in the back whooped for their cabin.

"Could you, ah, do that oracle thing or something real quick and let me know if I'm going to get my legs lobbed off or something? I've got a dinner date, would really hate to miss it."

"N-not every Apollo child has fore-sight.." The girl said quietly.

"I'll make sure not to damage you too much." Allison winked and twirled her sword again.

"...Well, knew it was a long shot." Kyle gave her an apologetic smile before turning back to face Allison. "Whenever you're ready."

"Thought you'd never be ready." Allison smiled sweetly. She quickly lunged forward with an easy downward strike before hopping back.
